1  shawl from Lion Brand website in Crochet: Completed Projects by lap on: February 26, 2005 02:51:15 PM

I finished this for my 94 year old Grandma the other day and took some pictures before I sent it off.  It took only 2.5 skeins of Homespun, (in French Provincial) and even though I used a larger hook (a P which I loooove) it's shorter than the pile of flesh picture.  I did a half double crochet on the border instead of a double crochet, and stuck to the 8 rows indicated.  On the last row I ch4 and skipped a st to make the buttonhole since the only closure I assume would be the crocheted flower on a pin, and buttons are easier when you are 94 than pins...

I just loved this yarn- I thought it looked like a lavender garden.  The website describes it as "grey rose and tan" and it's more plum, sage with blue which cracks me up.
