1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Shawls on: June 08, 2011 07:47:07 PM
Hello all!
I live in WV & we had a bad winter last yr.  I spent most of my time crocheting shawls for my aunts & my Mom.  They are fairly simple triangle shawls.  I don't remember where I got the pattern but I do recall that it was only free for charity work. Have a good day!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Fishy Panel Quilt on: June 07, 2011 09:27:34 PM
This is a baby quilt I'm working on for my new grandbaby due in Aug.  I love the lively, bright colors & the happy, smiling fish & sea critters!  It is a panel that I backed with a coordinating print & a light batting.  I'm quilting it by hand & I hope I get it finished in time for her baby shower later this month.  Take a look please!

Please ignore my messy sewing/craft room!!
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello from West Virginia! on: July 13, 2010 12:35:14 AM
My name is Linda & I live in rural West Virginia.  I'll be passing that half century mark this fall & I've been crafting since I was very young.  My mother is a firm believer in trying new things & over the years I think we tried every craft there was!  Heck, we still trying 'em!!  Mom has a craft room, a sewing room & a scrapbook corner in her house.  I have a craft room, a sewing room, a wood shop, a scrapbook corner in the dining room, a jewelry & bead desk in the den & half a couch full of my most recent projects in the living room.  I'm blessed with a calm & patient husband who just shakes his head & dodges knitting needles!

I ran a photo lab/portrait studio for almost 20 years so photography is an old friend.  I've been sewing, embroidering & crocheting for many years.  I knit a little (mostly scarves), scrapbook (mostly cards) & quilt (mostly panels rather than piecework).   I'm working up the nerve to explore polymer clay.  There are so many things you can do with it that I can't decide what to do first!  I am also an avid collector of most things dragon.  My favorite piece is a beautiful little green dragon tattoo on my.....er....over my heart! lol!

I'm looking forward to spending time here, making new friends & learning new things & maybe relearning some old things!  Have a good day!
