I love the fabric you used! I have yet to attempt any big reupholstering, just did the seats on our kitchen chairs, but I would love to do our living room set one day.

thanks! I was thinking of putting something in 2 of the stands i got cause the bases are really vases I think, but really I was just too impatient to wait til I got something to put in there haha. I think itd be pretty to fill it with something though, colored sand would probably work good too. May try it out if I do anymore.

Im planning a bday party for my daughter and needed a cake stand. I saw this idea online and was thrilled to try it. It is probably the easiest, fastest, cheapest craft I have ever done! I went to the thrift store to get supplies. Of course I ended up with enough to make 4 stands instead of the 1 I originally planned on lol but for only about $5-6! There was just too much to choose from. Then I went to the craft store for some epoxy for glass, I used a 50% off coupon so that cost me $2. Then just glued the pieces together! Thats it!! Now I just hope I can learn to bake by the end of the month haha.

all the finished stands

small stand

the top of it

I think this is my fave

the top piece on this one is actually plastic shhhh. I have to test this one out though and make sure its stable since the base is so tall and the plate is long.

cupcake stand

the lid can fit on this one too

That is so cool!! I was planning on painting a sugar skull design onto my end table already, and as I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan I think I will use this idea!! Thanks so much for sharing, Ill post pics whenever I get it done Smiley

Added more chair pics  Smiley Its coming along good. I got my first power tool lesson to use a jig saw and try to cut out wings for the backs of the chair from wood. Im hoping it turns out good, I want to try to do it myself but I have never used anything like that before so it'll be interesting how it works out.

Thanks for the feedback! I was looking at the dollar store for wings but ours didnt have any. I remember seeing them awhile back so Im going to check again. If I do end up doing wood ones they will be smaller with rounded edges so they arent gonna be poking her in the eye or anything, but I think I like the idea of regular fairy wings better.
