1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / My Neighbor Totoro on: July 13, 2010 02:13:05 PM
This is quite old, but I thought I'd post it anyway. After watching My Neighbor Totoro for the first time I was inspired to needle felt Totoro playing his ocarina. Later on I also decided to make one holding his umbrella since I loved that scene where she gives him the umbrella and he gets super happy. Smiley

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / What Exactly Is A Poppet? on: July 12, 2010 10:24:46 AM
Okay, I feel dumb asking this but I've been wondering this for a while. What exactly is a poppet? I mean, I know it's a type of plushie but what characteristics make a poppet? Are they made differently than other plushies/dolls? I 'googled' poppet dolls and all I found is that they're some kind of voodoo doll or something.

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Green and Blue Bete on: July 09, 2010 12:15:57 PM
Hey, I'm new here and I thought I should post some of my work to share with you guys. This is my green and blue Bete ('Bete' means 'beast' in French). He was made by needle felting and he is entirely made out of wool.
