This is quite old, but I thought I'd post it anyway. After watching My Neighbor Totoro for the first time I was inspired to needle felt Totoro playing his ocarina. Later on I also decided to make one holding his umbrella since I loved that scene where she gives him the umbrella and he gets super happy. Smiley

Okay, I feel dumb asking this but I've been wondering this for a while. What exactly is a poppet? I mean, I know it's a type of plushie but what characteristics make a poppet? Are they made differently than other plushies/dolls? I 'googled' poppet dolls and all I found is that they're some kind of voodoo doll or something.

He looks wonderful! You did a really good job on him. :3 And I like how he looks more like the original version(the storybook one) instead of ooking more like the animated Disney version.
