1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid) On stage! on: February 02, 2013 04:49:05 AM
I haven't posted on here for a while, but I've been busy making anime-inspired chibi amigurumi.  Wink
Here's one of them, Hatsune Miku, easily recognisable by many  Grin Grin
Its 5" tall from top of head to feet Cool
Onto Pictures!
Front View:

Back View:

Her headphones didn't turn out as expected, but oh well:

I still love her Cheesy The only thing lacking are details.  Tongue Adding details on a chibi version without it looking bulky is hard.  Roll Eyes
I'm thinking of crocheting a leek stalk to go with it.  Cool
Any idea which character I could crochet next? Already made Sailor Moon, Soul Eater Evans, ans another Miku with less details. Sasuke, Naruto and Kon-Chan are are my to-do list.

What do you think of her?? C&C are more than welcome! ^_^

You will be required to make at least 1 medium -or- 1 large. Extras are allowed if you discuss it with your partner first.

Let's make our best to keep this swap flake-free! Its never pleasant to send and never receive, so let's work hard!

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Whole new sheet of Bottle cap images on: October 14, 2012 10:54:03 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right topic or category. If not, sorry mods, i'll move it Tongue
So Halloween is super near! I don't celebrate it though i sure wished i could hehe xD... And i made a whole new sheet of bottlecap images. I don't make any bottle cap jewelry either, so this i made for friends who do. I do a lot of bottle cap image sheets but this is the first i'm sharing on here ^_^ Maybe to get in the Halloween mood to play along Cheesy

Its watermarked kind of Tongue For whatever reasons images are watermarked >_<
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Anime/ manga theme swap! For the Otakus out there ;) on: October 05, 2012 06:28:27 AM

Previously Known as Death note swap
It was suggested to expand the swap to incorporate everything.
So another round of anime/manga swap anyone??
If people are busy with Christmas, Holidays, etc, we could refrain to an OTT, but since last round was an OTT, i thought we could swap a medium?
Ideas welcome!!

We all know about the Death Note Wink
If you guys don't know, its a manga/anime/movie series of a guy who finds a more than special notebook xD
I love Death Note Tongue So how about a death note themed swap?
Anyone interested?? I'd say about end of november.
I'd love to organise. I was thinking around a medium.

So, to fill up some white space, i'll share how i came up to the idea Tongue I was browsing around and i fell upon this freaking shirt that krashromance is wearing in the crochet Vs Knit gallery here 2nd post in thread
Ok, yeah, i totally want one >_<
It resembled that shirt:
And just when i thought maybe i should "try" make one, i thought, the best things are those we receive Wink
So why not a swap?? I wouldn't be limited to that freaking awesome shirt, i would make and send AND subsequently receive a lot of death note goodies Cheesy So yep, how about the swap?
PLease share your ideas ^_^
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Chainmaille V/s ...... Swap on: July 10, 2012 11:07:59 AM
Chaimaille is one of the things i adore but can't do Tongue The challenge is for later, so chainmaille swaps are out for me  Roll Eyes
So, i was thinking of doing a swap like the yarnies V/s sewists, and other V/s swaps out there.
The principle is the same, one partner knows chainmaille but don't know how to sew, for example, so he/she does a chainmaille item for his/her sewist partner and the latter sews something in return.
How does it sound?
I would be willing to co-organise if possible, organising will be too time-consuming for me.

Suggest your ideas! Do we let it to be chainmaille V/s yarnies? or optional? Huh
And anyone willing to organise?  Tongue
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Hey listen! LISTEN! Navi amigurumi on: April 06, 2012 06:24:00 AM
Hey Listen!! Hey!! Listen!!
Yep, we all know its Navi the moment we hear the words Tongue

My partner loukr in the Zelda Swap mentioned she liked Navi, so i thought, what a better gift than her own personal Navi to accompany her throughout her journeys?
So i made this little amigurumi; a Navi keychain

Crocheting the wings were a pain, so i decided not to crochet the wings after several failed attempts. Am quite satisfied with the way it came out;
Thanks for looking, ^_^ C&C welcome!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Zelda themed Barefoot Sandals on: April 06, 2012 06:15:05 AM
I made these for my lovely partner loukr for the ongoing Zelda Swap

A pair of crocheted barefoot sandals in ecru colour. They took me about 3 nights to make.
Its my first time actually making something like that so i was pretty nervous. Imagine my relief when she told me she loved them Cheesy i was elated, really so happy.

Well, onto pictures:
Here's my piece of work on the adorable feet of loukr Tongue

Here are in-progress shots:
As i said, i was doing it at night, since, being a student, night was the only time i got some time for myself Grin

Thanks for looking ^_^ C&C appreciated
