I got my yarn for these today.. its RY Classic Yarns in Cashsoft DK. I got a teal and a soft grey. The yarn is a cashmere/merino/microfiber blend and its sooooo soft. Hopefully I can swatch for it soon! My boyfriend for me this yarn for a belated V-day present.

I jumped on the bandwagon here.. I had some SWS in Natural Earth coming to me in the mail, but when I was at Michaels the other day, I saw Natural Geranium and just *had* to have it.. so now Ill be making a Danica in each! I already started the Geranium one, and its gorgeous so far!

Zaftigmomma, I actually dont remember which specific pattern it is, but I know I got it from the link that Amaerin posted right after your post. But I made it from Sugar n Creme, and I know it didnt work AT ALL.. once it got wet it just turned into a big wet lump, and wasnt good for washing at all. I think if you used something that had more of a "spring" to it, like nylon maybe, it would work better.

Wow.. my boyfriends right.. my screename does look dirty out of context. Its actually my first initial and last name..  Roll Eyes

The Garterlac was challenging but fun. http://flickr.com/photos/crafty_cat/sets/72157594222116897/ Thats the tut that I used to get me started, and it worked well.

It makes an awesome looking cloth, too. Tonight I cast on for Smariek's Traveling Vine's washcloth, and I got about halfway through it watching some Lost on DVD. I realized Im out of solid kitchen cotton, though, but with it icing outside a trip to hobby lobby doesnt look too promising :-p

20  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / New Yahoo Group -- CharityKnittingandCrochet on: January 28, 2006 08:36:41 PM
When I first started to knit and crochet for charity, I wasnt sure where to get started. I was rather lost, in fact. So after I got a grip on things I started a group for people to share resources, links, stories, and pictures. We don't have any particular charities we donate to as a group, but if you need help getting started feel free to ask.

The need is GREAT. And each person can help.

The groups location is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CharityKnittingandCrochet

Feel free to join and chat, and make sure to check out the links and files. And if you have anything to add to those, feel free to do that too.
