301  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Castiel from 'Supernatural' - A poppet! ~PIC HEAVY~ on: November 05, 2010 10:17:27 AM
Awesome!  I'm not a huge poppet fan, but this is one of the best Castiel things I've seen on the net!

I think it's the eyes.  They really bring that Castiel look to the poppet.

Great Job

She is hauntingly beautiful.
303  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: ACTIVE: Granny-A-Day for OCTOBER start:10/01 - 10/31 on: October 31, 2010 05:40:30 PM
I've got all the mini grannies finished, laid out, rows sorted and ready to join.  I now need to find my needles - the needlework ones with the big eyes and the mostly blunted tips.

304  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Evil Knievel!!! on: October 30, 2010 02:16:59 PM
I feel ya.  DH's Musketeer costume - while similarly "simple" has become. . .complicated.

The suit looks great, though.  Thumbs Up!
305  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Glacier cake with penguins & a jelly lake <3 on: October 29, 2010 11:44:05 AM
Don't you hate that "It's to beautiful to eat," stuff?

To those I know well (I'm thinking of my mother-in-law, who should know better) I generally end up saying something along the lines of, "I made it to be eaten, not looked at.  EAT IT!!!"

Sometimes with a few profanities.

It's an adorable cake and I would have cut into it post haste!
306  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Fuzzy Bat Plushie on: October 29, 2010 11:36:46 AM
That is adorable!!  I love bats so this is one of my favorite times of the year.
307  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: The Fastest Wedding Dress.... on: October 28, 2010 07:25:05 AM
Seeing your pictures makes me wish I had been sewing when I got married 6 years ago.  I got a great bargain on my dress, but I think knowing that you, or someone who loves you, made your dress makes it more meaningful.

Wishing you many happy years!

That is one awesome costume!
309  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Watermelon Slice Costume on: October 28, 2010 07:08:25 AM
That is so cool!

All I thought of was a preschool teacher during Watermelon week - but classy halloween costume is much better!  There's less chance of getting paint on it.  Sticky kisses are entirely up to the fiance'. Wink

OKay, I'm slacking, but I have an excuse.  I promised the DH a musketeer costume so there's a tabard that needs sewing as well as a hat for his big head and I just got an unexpected promotion - so I've been a little swamped.

Lucky for me I can do six minis in like, thirty minutes.
