301  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Cady Cloth Doll on: May 29, 2011 06:48:57 AM
She's adorable and I bet really huggable.

The only problems with her are her hair didn't get sewn on right, and her arm and legs should have been sewn on differently, so that they hang forward instead of to the side.

One of my first dolls I actually sewed the arms on backwards and, because I'm lazy and she will probably never leave my craft room, I just left them.  It adds character. (And I've never done it since!)

(Sorry about the pic, I didn't mean to copy it.)

I've got a dress from a similar pattern in the works, but I like this one much better.

The blue is stunning and the neckline awesome.
303  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Can't Get Enough Disney Swap! (Sign-ups: 5/24-6/7; Sendout: 6/29) on: May 29, 2011 06:12:59 AM
Ummm. What are Newsies?

I'm so old school Disney. Nothing after 1996, with the exception of "The Princess and the Frog" since it had old school Disney feel to it.

A musical with pre-Equalibrium kickassedness Christian Bale singing and Dancing.  My niece went through a Newsies phase. I'm not crazy about live musicals but I got a huge giggle everytime watching Bale fight his lisp, the accent all while hitting his dancing marks.

The Princess and the Frog did have a very classic Disney feel, didn't it?

And now I feel old.  I was in High School when Beauty and the Beast came out.

My husband and I did almost the same thing  got married in Oct.  Went the next year in April & stayed at Pop Century! (Which I liked by my husband the Disney veteran was less than impressed with.)

Just sent in my questionnaire (sorry about those numbers, bsonlytoots Undecided)  This would be my first swap and it's something my husband would be interested in as well.

We're planning my mom's first visit for October.  She's 77 years old physically and about 24 mentally!  We're going to the Halloween Party, which reminds me that I should work on the costumes! <edit: we're statying at WDW's Carribbean Beach resort>

Very excited!!

306  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Around Town lap quilt on: April 30, 2011 03:11:01 PM
I know that around here there are various charitable organizations that make/take "snugglies" for kids in hospitals.  The bright colors would really brighten someone's day - if you'll pardon the redundancy

You always inspire me & I love your tutorials.

The dress is awesomely poofy.

And I envy your bangs.  I'm to lazy to get mine in straight shiney order.
