11  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Brave Merida Cosplay (Pic obese) on: August 06, 2014 08:20:43 AM
That is awesome!  Quite possibly the best Merida I've seen.  And I'd want to wear that wig all the time too.  Cheesy

Love the hair and the story.

Indeed - craft is a true international language, much like music  Wink words are not actually needed.
13  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Jewellery creations March - August 2014 on: August 05, 2014 09:00:17 AM
OMG - I adore the tiny Enterprise cufflinks!!  I'm planning on making a Star Trek purse for my niece and that would be an awesome key-chain or zipper pull.

So, I guess my vote for a tute would be the Enterprise!  Grin

I adore what I call "Cranky Old Aquaman" of the late 90's early 2000s (Beard & Hook) so it's so nice to see him get some love - even in his youthful stage.

So I'm working on a prototype and, although it's not what was in my head picture, it is definitely getting where it needs to be.

Hah - I got sucked in stalking yesterday.  Down that rabbit hole....

Have some ideas.  Need to get into my craft room to check my supplies, which means unearthing my Disney tote.

And - I too enjoy data.  Which is good in my job.   Roll Eyes

Back to work.  Or stalking.  It's a 50/50 proposition.  Grin

That does look super comfy for running about a con in.

And brilliant with the clip-on earring findings for the bows.
18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Cinderella birds, mice, and pumpkins bread clay casts + a bonus snail figurine on: July 29, 2014 06:52:05 AM

Materials:
Acrylic paint and bread clay [which consists of a slice of crust-less white bread, water (actually saliva in this case, because I'm gross like that), and white glue]. I also used some papier mache (newsprint and white glue) on the snail and one of the pumpkins to replace small pieces that I broke off and lost, prior to painting them.

Cheesy I had the opportunity to watch Laura Reynolds sculpt once and she used saliva to smooth and shape.  She made some comment along the lines of "If people know how much I really put into these sculptures."  I think it is the ultimate signature, nobody is going to be able to duplicate DNA.

And don't you love those unexpected thrift store finds?

Very nice little charms, and I can see how you might lose little bits while trimming the flash.

Stalking & even through enormous sinus issues, ideas are sprouting...

 Cheesy

I love this goat!

And I second the Doll Needles sometimes called jointing needles too.  They're, like, 4-8 inches long and sometimes come in sets.  When I remember to use mine, they're sooo helpful.
