3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / QR code Cross stitch on: May 29, 2012 01:36:19 AM
I'm a Huge fan of The Matrix and i wanted to make a cross stitch version of a QR code. So i made this with a quote By Neo to Trinity.
I love how you can hide anything in a QR code. It gave me loads of ideas. But here's my first attempt to see if it would even work.

let me know ok.
I got some ideas bubbling up in my brain stormer.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / What can I make with this? (engagement gift) on: May 16, 2011 12:12:34 PM
Hello everyone.
I'm having a bit of crafters block. I wanted to make an Engagement gift for some friends. This is what I have so far.
I was first thinking to frame it in a fancy frame  but then I thought perhaps some kinda pillow or perhaps one of them small hanging pillow things (I'm sure I  have seen one of these somewhere)

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Bull terrier on: March 08, 2011 02:04:47 PM

just made this for my mate. Its only small but I think she'll like it once i frame it.
making them french knots (the studs on the collar)with metallic took four hands! this is my first time making french knots. damn they are hard work!
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Okami on: March 08, 2011 10:56:53 AM
this is my hmm 4th image embroidery i have made and i think i'm getting better every time. just need to practice a few more techniques and i think i will be ready to move on to coloring.

oh forgot to add the info part

erm used normal black thread for the thin parts and embroidery thread for the thicker lines. 2 strands of orange to do the flames and doubled up a grey and blue to do the halo (?) disc.
i used a kind of thick fabric. I'm not sure what its called but its kind of like what some tea towels are made off.
The image itself is about 6 inch wide and about 5 inches tall
took me about a day to do as its pretty simple, just lines.
Going to be framed and hung on my wall along with my Cthulhu from DesignerFake

Any questions. just ask
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Halloween treat bag (pix) on: October 28, 2010 06:42:35 AM
After about an hour of re-learning how to use my ancient sewing machine I managed to make this little beauty for my best friends 3 year old.

sooooo sorry its not clear and its too late to take more pictures because i've already given it to her.

tried to do a spiral on the moon but the machine was way to fast and went bit wrong, the bats covering it now though.

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Filling in the gaps on: October 06, 2010 01:45:46 PM
Hi guys,
I'm working on my first embroidery project. So excited that its looking quite good so far.
The only problem i have is the areas that are mostly gaps but will need colouring in.
Is there a special way to fill in the gaps so it don't look so messy,
I've just started filling in the gaps and its looking terrible. So I'm guessing ill have to up do this part.
please help if you can. tell me where im going wrong and if theres a tutorial or somthing
thanks guys xx
