I just finished this and I'm going to make a few more for extra special really inexpensive gifts...it only took me about twenty minutes to finish one! The front is an old photo and the back is some wrapping paper I got from the dollar store...I just enclosed it in glass and soldered it up!

3  Mr. and Mrs. Monsterface in Halloween Costumes by anasbubbalu on: November 02, 2006 05:22:09 AM

I made a 'hood' out of muslin and then attached it to the faux fur and stuffed it with polyfill. Then I just sewed little mitts for our hands. These things are hot when you wear them, and I felt like a real monster from all of the kids reactions to us! I've never been petted before!

i hope this helps everyone!!
I made a hood, then i created the monster head. Sew the mouth shape to the hood and head then cut inside the lines. Stuff all around the hood inside the head remembering its freakin hot and can be heavy...sew the base of the hood to the head and embellish...voila! (it took about 4 hours for the mr. and 2 for the mrs. cause i figured it out!)

5  my husbands a yeti in Halloween Costumes by anasbubbalu on: October 30, 2006 01:59:12 PM

I whipped this baby up in about two hours!- pillowstuffing +fur+muslin+felt=the greatest furry monster ever! My hub say's it's super hot so I'm praying for the weather to cool a little. The day after I finished this I saw the craftlab with Jenny Harada, her masks and monsters are awesome. I thought I was coming up with something different... ah well, I hope you like it! I'm working on the bodysuit right now to go with it...I have less than 24 hours to finish it...wish me luck! And let me know what you think!!!

I had a hideous fairy tattoo covered with a colorful sparrow....and all was well- you just have to have a good artist-my fairy was faded and about ten years old so it covered well...Im going to get my sleeve finished today on my knitting arm!!!Yay!

9  Finger puppets(Heavy photos) in Knitting: Completed Projects by anasbubbalu on: June 16, 2005 02:14:31 PM

I knitted these after I saw this: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTpuppers.html
But I didn't really follow the same pattern...once you knit a rectangle they are really easy to sew up and Make into an animal...I'm working on a Giraffe I'll post photos later.

hey! I'm glad you guys like it!
here's the tute:

make slst, ch6-*yo go into first chain, slst come back up* 20 times or until poufy enough for you, on the next yo pull yarn through all of the loops and join with sc. ch6 slst to first ch- ch6**
make five petals(trying to keep the tension the same)
bind off with slst in very first chain. I fill the hole in by yo into each st in the hole. I've also added the ouchless rubberbands to make hairties, or whipstitch them onto knitted shawls...you can put them anywhere!
