Going on a train trip soon!  I hope to be able to take fun and wonderful pictures along the way... *crosses fingers*

Going for a walk through the park today... hopefully I can get some nice pictures!  I have a "retro picture" app on my phone, and I totally intend to take some pictures with it, it applies filters to the pictures to make them look like they were taken with different old-school cameras.  It's not as good as the real thing... but it's still fun!  Cheesy

I have no clue how to even get pictures off of my phone Smiley I have a bunch on there though..haha
If your phone has Bluetooth, some digital print kiosks also have Bluetooth.  That would make it possible to make prints from your phone and also make a CD without connecting your phone to any computers or costing yourself any extra charges for emailing them.

I will be doing part digital camera, and part mobile phone pictures.  I love my camera but it's so much easier to take spontaneous and fun pictures with my phone.

I would love to get a Polaroid style camera, but that definitely won't be happening in time for this swap haha.  I think I might treat myself next year though... or maybe I'll be able to get one by the time another swap like this rolls around Wink

I'll be doing digital pictures.  I'm wondering though, is any digital editing allowed on the prints?  I would like to be able to add captions on the pictures with Photoshop before I print them.  I would then save two copies of the pictures onto CD, one edited and one non-edited.

edited to add: If you need the film for the Polaroid cameras, you could always try ebay.

I received a wonderful package from my amazing partner, Sylvanna!

First I took out this guy, he is just too sweet!

This little guy is adorable, I sat him on the first gnome's hat to take this picture, and he just seemed right at home!  I think he'll stay there for a while Smiley

Then there was this awesome embroidery, which will be going up on the wall near the entrance.

There were two little containers which she warned me would be difficult to open, but it was well worth it!!

These adorable mushroom buttons were in one...

And this fun, funky bracelet was in the other!!  I put the bracelet on right away.

These candies are not only super cute, but they're REALLY delicious!!  I laughed out loud when I saw them, they're too perfect!

And last but most definitely not least, this beautifully stitched tote bag!!  I was so excited when I saw it, I took it out grocery shopping right away, and then used it to carry my latest knitting project to work.  This was before I got to take a picture, which is why it's so wrinkled already haha.

I got so spoiled on my first swap, I feel so lucky to have been a part of this.  Thanks so much for your hard work at making my first swap such a success Sylvanna, and thank you cklnh for organizing Smiley

Unleashing my inner artist --- after an unfortunate graphic card meltdown on my boyfriend's computer, he became dejected and wasn't sure he'd be able to color the gnomes he made for me, despite my offer of my perfectly healthy computer to aid his efforts.

What's a craftster to do?  I did what I thought any of the amazing people on this site would do --- I put on my hero face and got to work!  I even found him a new style of creating lineart from his sketched images, which is surprisingly easy and I think suits his style perfectly.  I'm not great at coloring, and shading is most definitely out of my skill range, but I'm pretty happy with my efforts and I think it'll all look great when I finish with it, and work on crafting from the finished gnomes.

In actual crafting news, I have one project down... not sure how many to go.  *jumps around excitedly* I love this site, and I love this swap.
