1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ripping Ends on: September 08, 2005 05:52:43 PM
I use small paperclips - flip the cover open, thread a paperclip through the wire spiral, and duct tape the paperclip flat against the backside of the cover.  Looks incredibly ghetto, but it works!

I got the COOLEST package in the mail today from krebstar5 (my swap angel after jacqui flaked *boo hiss*)!  I wish I had a digital camera so I could show off the awesomeness, but I'll have to make do with a description instead.

I received:
*a necklace with a Shrinky Dink Norbert charm (so cute!)
*a wire lightning bolt bookmark
*Rita Skeeter-inspired marble thumbtacks (they're shiiiiny...)
*a tape-and-ribbon clutch with the Hogwarts crest on it
*a Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes quill (self-inking variety)
*a decorated box to stash my goodies in
*an adorable purple Pygmy Puff that's sitting on top of my computer right now, sticking his tongue out at me  Cheesy  (his name is Albert)
*the CD "Voldemort Can't Stop the Rock," by Harry and the Potters, to which I am currently rocking out (oh, give it up for Fred and George!)

Thank you krebstar5!  This package made my day, and I really appreciate you taking the time to make a replacement swap package.  You rock!   Grin

I got the most cute messenger bag from Talon today!
It's green( my favorite color) and had so many pens and pencils inside! She even made me a little notebook with a starfish...
I love it! I'll take decent pictures of it soon!

Thank you Talon! Cheesy You're the best!

Yay, I'm so glad you like everything!  Cheesy  I'm also glad the package got to you safely - I was a little nervous, I'd never sent anything internationally before.

Here's some close-up scans of the embroidery, if anyone's interested:

Oh, and you're welcome!   Grin

What an awesome idea!  Too funny.  And I don't think anyone will be offended - it's not like you made it out of a real cat...  Roll Eyes

Am I the only one who saw this bag and thought "OMG sloth!  And it wouldn't even have to be a dead one!"?   Grin
