Absolutely beautiful!  I can't wait until my hubby is out of the Army and we can buy a house in the country and do exactly what you're doing!
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Needed opinion on prices on: July 28, 2010 02:48:39 PM
Your prices seem very reasonable to me.  The thing about pricing is that sometimes if it's too cheap, people won't buy your items.  I assume it's because people equate low prices with poor quality items.  I hope your business picks up soon, they are beautiful items!  If I had long hair, I'd be ordering a few.   Smiley

I like the idea of making little pretty things like brooches, and functional things like bowls.

And making them more of a play-thing would probably work well too.  They're seem like they'd be very grip-able for little children.

I think it sounds insane and fun at the same time.  I've really been wishing there was a knit/crochet group around here to meet up with once in a while, but this apparently isn't the craftiest area.

It could get expensive, though.  That is the only problem I could see.  And you'd have to have a different employee for every room.

I don't blame you for not wanting to share.  I'm planning on owning my own bakery someday, so when someone asks for my recipe for such-and-such, I hate having to think of a nice way to tell them No.

I am seriously going to have to make this, just so I can have people ask me "...Um...is your purse a chicken?"   Grin
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: How can all swaps require TWO previous swaps? on: July 06, 2010 03:15:48 PM
 Embarrassed

That's what I get for skimming and not reading carefully!

Glad to know I was WRONG.  I've been assured by my midwife that my normal brain function will return 8-12 weeks postpartum.  Wink

OMG I LOVE THIS!!!!   Cheesy

If only I could get DH's parents to let me have some of the THOUSANDS of slides they have from DH's great uncle.  They're just gathering dust in old boxes, after all!

Cheesy   Those are hilarious AND adorable!  And they look delicious....I think I need a snack now!
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / How can all swaps require TWO previous swaps? on: July 06, 2010 03:00:28 PM
Am I just missing something here?  I can't swap yet, but I've been cruising the swap forum to get an idea of what kinds of things get sent etc.  And EVERY swap I've looked at requires participants to have completed at least two swaps already.  Even the "newbie swap"!  How does this make sense?  Is it going to be really difficult to get my first two swaps?
It seems so counterproductive!   Embarrassed
