1  Florida / Florida: North / Moving to St. Augustine! Need the 411! on: March 17, 2011 12:43:11 PM
Hi all!

My husband and I are moving from Melbourne to the St. Augustine area this Saturday and are really looking forward to it. I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself and see who else is out there in the same area.

I create one of a kind jewelry from re-purposed and vintage finds for a very industrial chic look. My work can be seen here: http://www.RenewStudiosFL.com to get an idea. =)

I raid antique and thrift shops for most of my materials and know that there are a ton of antique shops in the area ...what are some of your faves?

Also, what are the best (and most affordable) art/craft shows that are nearby? Any markets in the downtown area?

Thanks in advance for your help! I'd also be interested in meeting up with some fellow crafters once we get all settled in. =)

Moving to St. Augustine next month!  Smiley

How's the arts and crafts scene there? I'm really not familiar with the area at all.
Interested in finding some shows to participate in.

Any info is appreciated.
Thank in advance!

3  Florida / Florida: Central / New to Melbourne!! on: June 29, 2010 06:25:29 AM
Hi Everyone!
I'm relatively new to Melbourne and am trying to find an art/craft show in the area (willing to travel a bit!) I was thinking about nabbing a table at a flea market or something to get started...I know that craft show rentals can sometimes be expensive...the trouble with a flea market is that it may or may not reach the customer that I need to sell to! Anywho...anyone know of local happenings that I could get into? Or how easy do you think it would be to get together with fellow crafters and start a small "show" together somewhere? =)

I make jewelry/accessories from recycled/re-purposed materials!
