11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: OWS Round 113 & 114 Gallery & Discussion (April 2015) on: May 10, 2015 07:53:13 AM
I received the coolest throw pillows from edelC!  They are perfectly crafted.  I was literally speechless when I opened the package.  I love them.

The really fun thing is it doesn't matter which way you have them as it looks like the paper airplane is just going different directions.

Thank you so much!

If no one has claimed anything from my list by the time I get home from work tonight I will think of some more things to add to my list so I don't hold the swap up for everyone else!

I'm making pretty good progress on StainedMushrooms hoopla, and have made good mental progress on Lo{ve}s brooches and plan on making the first one up tonight!

Oh... I wouldn't be too worried about updating your list.  BTW, I think you'd like my bookcase at home.  We have a lot of the same interests when it comes to reading.

Everyone here is so talented and generous.  This swap experience is so fulfilling.  I just signed up for round 114!  If anyone is interested in card or scrapbooking magazines I have a literal stack of them looking for a new home.  (I did see it on AllieKat's list Smiley )
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Drab to Fab Chair Reupholster on: May 08, 2015 07:53:11 PM

My mom saved this chair prior to it being thrown out.  What it lacked in looks it made up for in structure.  The springs and wood frame of this chair are in amazing condition.  They just don't make chairs like this anymore.  I loved the curved back.

Before:

After many hours of sanding I was able to reveal the beautiful raw wood underneath all that paint. Then I applied several pounds of staples and finishing nails and voila!  My beautiful chair.  My mom was trying to convince me to let her take it back.

Is there any interest in vintage patterns?  My grandma let me know that she has been holding onto some (I think she mentioned cabbage patch doll patterns too.)  Also, this lady has too many cards.  So, if you could use a stack or 2 added to round out a claim list I can help.  I successfully made more than 365 cards last year and I'm on track to make that goal early this year.
17  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Hello Sunshine Card - 3 Ways on: April 26, 2015 11:11:49 AM
I loved making this little card so I decided to make a couple variations on the theme.  My favourite part is the gold embossing on the pearlized blue.  It looks like denim to me.

Enjoy!

18  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / 2 Double Layouts for Baby Shower Gift on: April 26, 2015 11:04:16 AM
My best friend just gave birth to the sweetest baby girl.  She wants to start scrapbooking and after looking at her supplies, I knew I could contribute to her new album and keep the same kind of theme.  For part of her gift, I made her 2 double layouts where she just needs to place a 4x6 photo and then it is finished.  There's also room for more embellishing if she so desires.
