1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fabric Lover Scavenger Hunt *Signups Closed*Sendouts May 27* on: April 14, 2011 04:58:59 PM
Woo, my questionnaire is in!
2  CANADA / Ontario / Re: Local yarn (wool)? Toronto or the south? on: April 12, 2011 11:11:34 AM
I don't knit/crochet myself so I have no idea what is processed/unprocessed. The only local yarn I know of offhand is http://www.alpacaeugenix.com/. Their contact info and I assume their retail business is in TO, and their alpacas live on a farm in Terra Cotta/ Cheltenham (small towns confuse me DX) which appears to be just outside Brampton.

Oooh. I think I might have to jump in this one. I told myself no more swaps until the end of semester, but... After the 14th I'll only have one final to go, I think that counts as end of semester! Tongue Come that day I'll see if I'm not too burned out to finish the questionnaire.

ZOMG AXOLOTL. That guy is so cute, I love him.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: What's part of your perfect needlework project bag? on: January 10, 2011 05:50:28 PM
I have one, although I only use it for storage really... Ongoing projects go in my backpack and I work on them at work (while I'm on hold, waiting at court, etc) Tongue

For me, a zipper is essential, because if I leave my floss in anything my cats can open, they go nuts and eat it/drag it around the apartment/god only knows what. Learned this one the hard way. It also has a little pocket for scissors, but I usually forget to use it and just throw mine in on top of the floss.

I really want to sign up for this... I just did my first swap, just waiting for feedback. Hopefully I can slide in at the last minute! *fingers crossed*
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Canadian Envelope Swap Winter Edition! Gallery! on: December 26, 2010 09:17:26 AM
I keep forgetting to post pictures of my package from Dontmindtherain! So I figured sketchy lighting be darned, if I didn't do it now I'd forget.

Some holiday cards, gift tags, crazy looking cd that I unfortunately haven't had the chance to listen to yet, and pretty snowflake fabric, which is my favourite part. I feel like I'm forgetting something, which is quite possible... I know one or two of the cards got used already  Wink

I agree. My envelope was an envelope, now I have swap anxiety that it is too small.

Mine was en envelope, but it was like .00something cm too wide so it was small parcel. I'm totally in awe at/envious of how much some of you managed to fit in! Crazy magic powers...

Hm, is that York University? Read about that in the paper...

Yep. I found here at least the newspapers that covered it totally downplayed how much of a crisis it actually was... Overall it was and is still being poorly handled on York's end. *grumble, rant, etc*
