With the fold of the edge a hair to the right and the right side up, start stitching.

Is this the part you're asking about?  I take it to mean a hair to the right of the first point the needle will hit, so the zig zag goes off the edge on the next stitch.  Does that make sense?

That is really cute!  I think the fabric choices are my favorite part.  Love the colors!  Especially with the wood painted white.

Erin Smerin, I LOVE YOUR TATTOO!!!!   I have seen it on the Flikr "sewing tattoo" pool but maybe your artist posted it??  My favorite part is the polka dot machine.  Congrats on such a beautiful piece!

I was worried the stitches wouldn't translate, but it worked!
