I'm not sure if this should go under this board, or the poly clay one.  This is a polymer clay daisy necklace that I made this weekend.  I kind of got inspired by a necklace I saw one of the Project Runway contestants wearing when I was watching some reruns.   Thanks for looking!

Two new necklace projects: One with purple polymer beads, spacers, and purple crystals.  The other with glass and polymer beads linked onto chain.  My first chain project, too.  These were loads of fun!  I apologize for the pictures, but my cell phone camera is the best one I have. 

My first time working with wire loops and jump rings.  I made the beads out of polymer clay, with stamped etchings.  I then painted the stamped areas and sanded, buffed and glazed.  It's called a whisper chain because the images are slightly different with each bead, kind of like the game "telephone".  I had a lot of fun doing this!

 Just finished this necklace today.  Made the beads a few days ago.  I'm loving it, and hope you like it, too! 

I've seen so many mica shift pieces online, and wanted to try my hand at it.  I read quite a bit about it, and why it works the way it does, with the mica being moved around in different directions.  I ran it through the pasta machine a bunch, making sure that I had no streaks or lines and that the mica was all facing the same way.  Here is what I came up with: 

I backed it up with a piece of black clay with silver leaf.  I also glazed it with clear dimensional gloss that I'm really loving (Inkssentials Glossy Accents).  It works a lot like resin, though it's not as hard and isn't as raised, but I prefer it to the mess and preciseness that resin requires.  I hope you like it!

How's this?

For this necklace, I rolled tube beads around toothpicks, and then rolled them on pieces of string for the random carving effect.  I pulled out the string, and shaped them around the base of a drinking glass.  After curing, I painted them with black acrylic pant, then sanded it off with 400 grit paper.  Finally, I varnished them with acrylic floor wax (Pledge Future), and strung them with silver spacer beads.
