1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Any Cricut owners out there? on: August 30, 2008 10:51:09 AM
What did you end up buying?

I too am a gadget/craft whore...Ive got some many things for projects Ive done once if at all.

I just started scrapbooking, since I had my baby. Looking at a scrapbook is a lot more fun than a photo album.Ive always made cards off & on. I could buy all kinds of stickers, letters, papers, embellishments. The big thing that stood out to me was how to I get letters??

I could go broke just on that alone which made me start looking at Cricut. Of course Joann's & Michael's dont allow 40% coupon on purchase as that was my first plan.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / McCall's 9407 Infant Layette help!!! on: August 05, 2008 06:19:25 AM
OK, Im grasping at straws here & will probably just make up my own solution.
Anyone sewn the romper in this pattern?
The instructions are waaaaaaaaaaay confusing, yet I seem to be the only one that thinks so according to Pattern Reviews.

ANyway, there are poor instructions for the crotch reinforcement band that I just dont get. I was planning on having this outfit done for an outing today that I guess won't happen.
3  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / Re: Boston/Cambridge Fabric Stores? on: August 28, 2007 04:14:07 AM
There is a small fabric store, Fabric Corner, on Mass Ave in Arlington Center, a little south of the Stop & Shop and a little north of the main shopping area - it mostly has quilting fabrics, but also some home dec, interfacings, trims, and a small selection of fashion fabrics. Any bus that goes to Arlington Center will make it to within a few blocks of the store.

Fabric Corner is expensive!  I went there to get fabric for my mom's birthday gift & spent waaaay more than I wanted.  Their stuff starts at $8.49/yd.  Many of their quilt-y prints are old lady-ish.  That's the downside to quilt-oriented stores.  They think that we're all boring I guess.  (horrors! LOL  Tongue

I know this is an old post but I wanted to update for the record Smiley
While it may be expensive, its no more expensive than online for certain prints. I thikn you can sign up for online coupons & discounts.

It's also not old lady-ish anymore if it used to be. They had a ton of cute prints, lots of Amy Butler, Freespirit & Alexander Henry when I was in there a month ago.

Here is my final product for my wedding invites.
We just went to JP solo & are having a party in a few months, which is what invites are for.
These are based off of Artful Bride Wedding Invitations idea.

Invites:

They are printed on cardstock, with a 1/8" screw post in the corner

Funny this should be on here!
I just got the 500 & the little one for my mom.
I havent told her yet.

I saw it Crafters Coast to Coast.

I had no idea about the magnetic application until I opened the box as I ordered it online. I'm very excited to use it!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Mother's Day / Re: What are you making your Mum for mothers day?? on: March 13, 2005 03:24:14 AM
Another summer purse here.
It's already made. She requested it since I've been bag crazy lately.
