1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Jewelry from Dried Flowers on: February 17, 2010 08:27:53 AM
I love love love this!!!  Those are beautiful!  I can see how there would be a great market for this, your little extra income has potential to be pretty huge imo.  This is one of the most awesome gift ideas I've ever seen!
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Oh so cozy slippers from wool sweaters. on: December 27, 2009 09:12:18 PM
Sweet!  I love 'em.  I was just thinking about doing the same thing but maybe adding outdoor soles.  I'm too poor to buy the felted Russian boots (valenki) I've been eyeballing and too lazy to make them myself so the obvious choice would be using a felted sweater.  You've totally inspired me now! Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Non-Frumpy Punk Nursing Dress on: December 25, 2009 08:47:31 PM
That's fantastic, looks great!  See, this is why I wish that I'd known how to sew back in the day when I was nursing babies.  I look at pictures of that period now and I'm just aghast at the clothes I wore.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Is it sewing or crochet? My mixed media dress NOW WITH TUTORIAL! on: March 28, 2008 12:27:43 PM
That looks great!  You did a totally amazing job.  My 16yo daughter (an Urban addict) fell in love with that dress too.  She made the crocheted top and liked it so much as a bra she decided she is going to make another one for the dress.

I am so in love!  Has anyone told you you're a genius today?  You are.  Thanks for the tut!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: very comfortable hoodie on: October 11, 2007 11:01:04 AM
Ooooh I dig it!  I have a feeling that we are going to be making lots of hoodies to keep up with my daughter's hoodie addiction.  You can never have too many hoodies, ya know. Smiley

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Some of my clothes I've made.. Tut for apron dress pg 4 & seminole patchwk pg 5 on: July 13, 2007 11:58:11 PM
Yeah, if you tie it tight enough the boobage won't move.  But they get mashed down.  I'm thinking of trying one with those soft bra cup thingys sewn into the lining.  I've nursed three babies and squashed down saggy boobs are just not cute.  I have a bellydance top that is really similar in style to an apron top that has those cups sewn in.  So I'm going to try it- when I have time.

"I still make a lot of it.. but I don't have as many places to wear it.  I did get to rock my patchies at bonnaroo..."  <---(sorry I only know how to cut and paste quotes-never learned, don't care, too busy sewing.)Smiley
Ok now, I wear my patchy hippieness to the grocery store and everywhere.  Even though I live in a crunchy college town people still stare.  I think they're trying to tell if I'm high. Roll Eyes  LOL  I'm not.  You should sport your groovy threads more places than festivals, they're awesome!
