1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Question about ears on: June 02, 2011 09:09:15 AM
Okay, I got my very own sewing machine now, and my boyfriend has asked me too make him a plushie, a sausage fox. And I'm having problems with the ears. The body is curved so the stitch goes down the middle of his front and back so I can't put the ears in the stitches like I would normaly do. How would I go about this? Are there any tutorials on how to add things like this?
2  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / Learning to make tapestries? on: June 19, 2010 10:21:07 PM
I've just recently gotten into weaving and constructed my own loom and made my first creation yesterday, a tiny rug Grin

Now that I've gotten the very basics down, I feel I want to begin making tapestries and I've searched the web for a long time without much results.

What I need to learn is: How to make patterns. I have a basic idea on how to design patterns using gridded paper.

Adding new threads - I.E securing a thread and adding a new one.

Any tips that can help me begin my journey would be great Smiley
