1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first pair of pants!! on: July 12, 2010 05:46:37 PM
Well I need more pajama pans and I found this pattern for .99 cents and I fnally got around to making them. They are soooo comfy and super wide leg. They are mostly just lounging pants made of super stretchy polyester type fabric. The size I made was too big so I had to take in the crotch although the length from the top of the pants to the crotch seam is still too long and I had to trim off about 2.5-3" from the bottom because I'm so short Cheesy I cannot wait to make the skirt and shorts that are included as well. The pattern I used was NEWLOOK EASY 6710 this would be a great pattern for plus size ladies. Well here is a photo of the back of the pant so you get an idea of how baggy they are  Grin

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Make something with my ______? on: July 03, 2010 04:12:58 PM
I'm not sure if it's been done before, but but would anyone be interested in doing a swap where you send your partner a bunch of things that you don't know what to make with them, like scrap fabric, buttons, beads, yarn etc and have them craft something out of it and send it back? I know shipping might be a problem so maybe people can be paired up according to distance....
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Looking for doll tute!! on: June 30, 2010 01:44:11 PM
So the tut list hasn't been updated for many months and i am looking for a simple rag doll tut. I made my own pattern but it just looks like a fat trianle  Cheesy I am looking for something simple, that I can modify because I want to make dolls to sell at my craft fair in Nov. The dolls are going to be for babies and younger children so I don't need them to have moving joints or sculpting or anything like that. Just something cute that they can dress. If anyone knows of some good patterns or tut's that they could pass on I would really appreciate it!!! Thank you Smiley
4  COOKING / Dessert / Peanut butter clusters on: June 28, 2010 03:20:00 PM
So I found this recipe in an old christmas magazine at the library and had to make them. o.m.g they are soooo good and they are honestly better cold or right out of the freezer. And I love these because they are simple and you don't need to bake them so they are an awesome treat to make in the hot summer months. I will be making these again probably tomorrow!!

2 cups peanut butter chips
1 cup milk chocolate chips (or dark chocolate if you prefer. Or do it half and half)
1 1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts (unsalted)
1 cup crushed plain ripple potato chips (I know this sounds weird but you have to put them in)

In a microwave or double broiler melt the PB and chocolate chips, stir until smooth
Stir in peanuts and potato chips and drop by level tablespoons onto wax paper lined baking sheets. refrigerate or freeze until firm.

1 piece = 96 calories

PS. Sorry I don't have a photo they were eaten before I even had a thought to take one!! I will post up pics of my next batch.
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Do you trace your patterns?? on: June 27, 2010 11:18:32 PM
I'm just curious to know if anyone else traces there store bought patterns?
If I have patterns for clothes or items that have multiple sizes I trace them so I don't have to cut up the other sizes. I find it works really well for me.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Peekaboo Purse on: June 27, 2010 01:44:40 AM
I got this pattern from a book, and I plan to change it up a bit and make different animals. I'll also use different fabrics and add a zippered pocket on the inside. This one is made out of fleece. But I think it's really cute! I also just realized I don't have a photo of just the owl. When I figure out what my 2 year old did with it I'll take a photo ^_^

BOO HOOOOOO

This is my house!

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Heroes tv show swap?? on: June 21, 2010 02:40:48 PM
Ok so I am not a newbie. I have made a new account after a long hiatus and am just looking to see if anyone would be interested in this? I know that the show is cancelled (JERKS) and that's why i'd love to do a swap like this. Would anyone else be interested in hosting?
8  CANADA / Alberta / First post but not a newbie!! on: June 18, 2010 10:14:24 PM
Well I am back on craftster almost a year and a half after taking a haitus.

I was an active member on here before I left and did many swaps. I stopped coming on because I was pregnant with my second baby which was high risk so I spent most of my pregnancy laying down, unable to do most crafts and TBH I just lost interest. Than I had her in Aug.2009 and have been busy with her and my 2.5 year old. But I am finally getting back into it and am doing a craft fair at the end of aug and in in Nov. So I am back with a fresh start for inspiration and motivation!!! It's good to be back Smiley

I like to try most crafts but participate mostly in sewing, needlework, baking and I dabble in jewelry and clay once in a while. Anyways see you all on the boards!!
