Here is how I made my faux wrap dress.  Mine is a faux wrap dress, because I didn't want to worry about keeping things tied tight or putting a fastening on the inside.



Piece A is the front of the dress, piece B is the other part of the front of the dress.  Piece C is the back.  I attached both of the fronts to the back at the shoulders.  Then in one fell swoop you sew up the side seems by sewing through the overlapped piece A and B as well as the ties so it looks like the picture below.



I hope this helps anyone wanting to do the faux wrap version.

Here is my unhemmed mock-up.  These colors are horrible on me, so I think I'll use different ones in a lighter weight material for the real one (it looks too bulky in the front).  My dress is faux wrap dress.  I think I'll also make the sash thinner so I can not have it highlight my paunch.  The dog can't take her eyes off of it.

I got my package from tabarhodes today from the post office where they were holding it for me.  I got lots of cool stuff including humingbird cards, a bird design embroidery kit, and vintage bird cards. I took a picture of her neat handmade things which were greeting cards, a silk painting, bird and chicken magnet (I needed more magnets for my fridge!), and a cute crocheted (I think) bird stuffy. 


The crocheted bird has personality, so I had to give him his own picture.

Here's a picture of the goodies that I got from The Meow Won't Purr.  There's a cute bird with sequin eyes, an orange slice, and because she's cool, a neat card and three awesome buttons.  (The blue one says "support pretty girls with sewing machines").
