1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / High-top Tennis Booties on: October 16, 2011 12:30:29 AM
I think I've gone insane! Or at the very least, I'm beyond obsessed. I've made several pairs of high-top tennis booties, and I keep making them.. and I can't stop! I'm in love with the pattern and the booties are easy and quick to make.

So here's what I've done so far!

If you've made similar booties, I would love to see them! So link me up!

Thanks for viewing!

Edit: Also, if anyone wants the pattern, I used this one: http://crochet-mania.blogspot.com/2009/05/baby-high-top-booties.html with a few changes of my own. I attached the toe top part differently, making it more embedded and the shoe less round at the top (I attached it a bit below the stitches, not directly on top of them). I also made a backward single crochet stitch around the edges of the ankles. And instead of going through both loops on round/row 4 of the sole (where the ankle part connects to the sole), I only used the back loops in my single crochet stitches, so as to make a sharper edge around the sole. Hope that helps, if you want to try them out!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / In the lookout for the perfect crochet leaf/leaves on: June 20, 2010 10:56:27 AM
Hi all!
I recently made, what I think is, the perfect crochet rose. I was happy with the rose, but I was hoping to add a few leaves to it. The problem is that all the leaves that I've googled, end up looking horrible. So if there's anyone out there that knows a great pattern for a crochet leaf, I would be more than grateful for any and all help!

I'd also hope that the pattern looks good on rather thin yarn, and it would be somewhat robust, and not "lacy".

Here's a link to the rose I made: http://katicrafts.wordpress.com/2010/06/20/the-perfect-crochet-rose/

Thanks in advance! Smiley
