21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Handmade swift on: July 07, 2006 12:53:16 PM
I know it's not a knitted item, but it makes winding skeins into balls so much faster and easier. After searching for weeks online for a swift that I could afford I asked my husband to make me one. It's finished!! Isn't it cool??

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Needles, needles everywhere! on: June 02, 2006 12:57:29 PM

My grandmother found these in a consignment shop! For 10 BUCKS! Man, I wish I saw these 4 years ago when I was first starting and needed them most.

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty's Anouk? on: May 31, 2006 03:00:02 PM
Anyone have photos of their finished Anouk? I'm making it now and I'm wondering how others came out.

Thanks

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / One Sassy Sock down... on: May 18, 2006 08:01:46 AM

I think it came out really good. It's a simple pattern and the self striping sassy sock yarn is pretty cool. It makes me want to wear them with sandals to show 'em off. Smiley

29  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sassy stripes yarn by moda dea? on: May 10, 2006 07:29:52 AM
I just started knitting a pair of socks using sassy stripes. Anyone use this regularly?? I want to know how it wears and if it pills. Also, how it stands up to washing repeatedly.

Thanks

30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can I pick your brains? on: May 05, 2006 08:58:06 AM
I'm almost done with a camisole. It's coming out horrible. Well, not horrible, just not like the photo or directions.

These are my issues-

First, it's too big for the person I made it for.

Second, the back rolls. I know there's nothing I can do about it because it's stockinette and that's just what it does, but does anyone have any ideas (if I frog it back) what I can do?

Third, the shoulder straps should attach to the back. But they looked terrible. They looked sloppy. So I was going to make them button together on the back of the neck.

Forth, because it buttons to the back the front sags and shows "the girls", if you know what I mean.

I've tried repeatedly to do the directions as stated and they didn't work.

What would you do?? Would you scrap the whole project or give it to someone else?

Thanks
