12  Green sweater in Knitting: Completed Projects by sunflowerfairy on: August 21, 2006 02:58:10 PM
For my friend's baby. It's the cutest thing.

Made from Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool. Nice yarn, except for the pieces of hay in it.

It's a medium green color. I'm so sick of blue for boys and pink for girls. I did it in 4 days. I remember when something even this small would take me weeks! I guess all that practice is good for something.

I'm planning on making a hat to match too.

Back to holiday knitting!

I'm done with the body and a sleeve. I've modified the bottom and sleeve edge alot. Like, a whole different cable. But I think it looks good.

You can see the rest of the sweater and progress in the blog, as always.

16  Holiday knitting? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by sunflowerfairy on: August 09, 2006 01:52:16 PM
It seems ridiculous to talk of the holidays already, but I started my holiday knitting recently. I'm doing a sweater for my mother in law, and so far I have the body  and one sleeve finished.

I also have a list made out of who's getting what and what yarn I'll use for each project.

Anyone else doing holiday knitting yet??

17  Isabeau Shrug is done. in Knitting: Completed Projects by sunflowerfairy on: July 12, 2006 09:00:13 AM
Pattern by our very own Chez Plum.

Edit to add-  the photo does not do the lace pattern or color of the yarn justice. Both are beautiful.

18  Handmade swift in Knitting: Completed Projects by sunflowerfairy on: July 07, 2006 12:53:16 PM
I know it's not a knitted item, but it makes winding skeins into balls so much faster and easier. After searching for weeks online for a swift that I could afford I asked my husband to make me one. It's finished!! Isn't it cool??
