1  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Washcloths and Hand Towels for Oil Clean Up on: June 16, 2010 03:18:45 PM
You are just a dream! Thank you so much for sharing this! My husband watches the news so I inevitably see all the destruction going on because of that horrible oil spill. I'd see it anyway... it's hard to get away from. And it absolutely turns my stomach. Sure, I use oil and gasoline for my car and heating the apartment, as many of us do, but it's meant to be contained, not covered on animals! It's heart breaking.

That's my little spiel. I'm off to read that article and get to work! Thanks again for posting this!

Take care,
Laney

Ok. I am an id-iot.

I thought you were taking your dinner art and thinking about selling the pieces individually or as a set for actual meal use. Sorry!!

As for the art idea... yeah I like it. The background kind of overpowers the whole ensemble.

Oh my... I would gladly buy that plate (and it's mates) in a heartbeat!!! I wish they were available now... I'd replace all my current stuff with that... or at least accent it. I just adore the quirky little flower design. So cute.

As for price.... I'm pretty cheap so don't really put my advice in the equation, but at least 10 bucks per plate? 8 bucks per mug? Or 12 bucks per plate, 10 bucks per mug? I don't know. Just an idea.

I do hope you sell these!

Take care,
Laney
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Logo Opinion on: June 16, 2010 03:08:44 PM
Awww... I'm too late! For what it's worth, I definitely like the second one best. I think it does give a very yarn-like feel. I know most said the swirling logo with the swirling letters was too much, but I thought the bold font of the first one overwhelmed the logo. If you do the first one, like you said, maybe make the font a little lighter gray? That way it doesn't compete so much with the logo itself, which is probably why I liked the second one, the color of the word "crochet" was milder than the colors of the logo.

Anyway.... it's a great, simply elegant logo either way! Good luck!

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: New invites! on: June 16, 2010 03:03:58 PM
I love the invites... they are adorable!

My only issue (and it's one I have with ALL card manufacturers) is that there are never enough cards in one box. Then I end up buying more boxes (which is fine) but then have a weird number. What about an even 10? That way the customer gets 20 invites in two packages instead of an weirdo number like 16 for two packages. Or.... maybe that's just my beef... I'm certainly no expert!

Either way, I'm sure they will fly just fine!

Take care!

Hi!

Zany Cow, of course, made me think of cows. My first impression was like a food product... organic yogurt or oddly flavored milk.... something along those lines. I hope that helps.... I have an odd imagination, though!

Honestly, I am SO curious what your products are!

Take care!
