I love the crocheted pineapple!

Alexampersandra, it's so nice of you to recreate the experience for a new LV!  Piper is very cute, and good job on the action shot!

I've finished something! And it's for this swap!

...granted, I started three other things, some for this swap and some not, but a finish is a step in the right direction, yes?  Cheesy  Hopefully I'll keep the momentum going today and finish up some more in-progress stuff.  Cheesy

Pinokeeo - I think the letter opener is very nice rustic, you'll be back on your carving feet in no time is that's how well the healing is going!

Underthemountain - Ooooh, I love the tie-died stuff, especially the heart shape.  How did you tie/bundle it to get that shape?!

A few things I've managed to accomplish lately... actually I have a few more things, but they're for swaps and will have to wait.

Snail, sent back with the LV swap:

A sign to keep me off Facebook:

(more about that here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432704.0#axzz2ygW6BE6W)

A pinterest pin and the resulting bracelets:

(more about those in the Craftster vs Pin craftalong: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432270.msg5183768#msg5183768)

And while I was at it, another bracelet I decided to make, a triple wrap bracelet with a dragonfly catch:

I don't really know or remember what I wanted to be. I'm not sure I gave it that much thought?  I'm sure at some point I wanted to be something, maybe a vet, probably not a teacher, but I really don't have a strong recollection of really really really wanting to do something.

I didn't even really choose what I am, I was simply good at math and science and it seemed a career I could find a job in and make decent money at.

Now, if the question was about what my dream job now would be... Smiley

(Actually, I'm not sure about that, I don't really thrive in high-pressure situations, so a creative *job* with deadlines and stress... I don't think I'd like it - crafting will remain a hobby for me!)

Simple beading pin: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/272045633711607148/

I've seen it done before, usually with more rustic beads and hemp twine... But I have an allergy to hemp and decided, since I had some sparkly beads, to try to use a sparkly yarn.  I cut apart my first effort without even taking a picture, since the way this tutorial shows doing the closure (directly next to the end of the beading) only allows for one of the tails to move/tighten.  And I doubled the yarn over that I tying, but it's still too thin to really see the knots.

So then I changed to a rounder cord, something more like the hemp people usually use.  It's better in some respects, but I'll be honest, even though they're more time-consuming and not as adjustable, I still prefer the wrap bracelets.

Overall, not a fail, and I've seen ones done in this style that are fabulous, but it definitely takes the right kind of cord and beads.

Oh, wow, I think balloon art is awesome, but I'm too freaked out by the thought of the balloons popping!  Those are great!

Aw, thanks!  I like it, though so far my "record" is not outstanding...  Embarrassed

And though I am also completely addicted to Craftster, I don't plan to try to quit it, since it's my happy place (in fact, several of the suggestions to avoid Facebook involve Craftster and Pinterest...). Cheesy
