I have been so absent, and missed the deadline for raffle prizes. Nertz. Next time! I've been really busy/obsessed with a craft swap project. I should have made it a research project! I have some other things to post, probably this weekend... time is just flying!
Argh. I picked up a WIP tonight that I haven't touched in at least 2 years for the UFO prompt. I can't remember what hook size I was using. So far I've worked 4 rows and just can't tell. I marked where I started from, so at least I can frog back if I need to.
Storeboughtcreations, you need to make yourself these!
Completely easy, just a lobster claw jewelry catch, alphabet (and other, if you want) beads, and bonus, it hooks through the look to keep your projects from unraveling! Just run some strong thread through the beads and hook and you're done!
We may have a problem with my big project. Turns out, I decided to use a ____ I had bought for another project, thinking it would be easy to get more. Unfortunately, it seems that said ______ is no longer stocked at the store I bought it, or either of the other two stores I visited. So now I have to either ______ or _______ and hope I have enough. The question is, do I press on and possibly waste many many hours, or...? Argh!
Looking forward to this weekend, I need to clean off my ____ and _____ so I can work on the ____ and _____, and maybe do some _____.
I have three books done! They measure 4" square and have about 112 pages. They are made from reclaimed paper, cut off pieces or paper that was run through a copier, so a few light black smudges here and there, but nothing you couldn't write/draw over.
Copic stitch binding, button and ribbon tie closure, yellow, salmon, green and pink signatures.
Halloween decorations are out! I picked up three items the other day (plus more supplies for my big project) and should be fairly well set if things go to plan and my hand holds up... 80/240ths done - that's a third! Whoooo-hoooo! Sadly, I fell behind on my daily count this week, will really need that time off to finish in time, I think.
...man, I hope smashu likes this! I'm slightly on the fence about it, but it could be my brain trying to make me give up...
Not making as much progress as I'd like, I'm 50/240ths done with my mega project, and it's just... slow. At this pace it won't be done in time. A huge problem is not being able to bring it places, otherwise I could work on it at lunch and while we play D&D. Still hopeful, but... might need a back-up plan for the actual swap and just send it when it's done.
And a NaNoWriMo along! I looooooove writing and used to do it all the time, but it's slipped to third place in my hobbies behind crafting and reading. I still try to do a haiku or limerick a day, and the occasional drabble, but haven't written a story in... gosh, since the last time I did NaNo a few years ago!
I've also been looking for a new writing bingo community since the one that really inspired me to stretch my writing comfort zone seems to be on permanent hiatus.
I've always wanted to do this swap, but I never have enough things made up ahead of time! And with a big project for the Halloween swap, and two research projects for the Nerd Games, I'm not sure what I could squeeze in...
I could do custom buttons (fandom, or if you have your own design) or a small custom goal book for 2016. And I do have a few fairy doors I started with the intent to do this swap...
I'd be looking for sewn things, love reusable shopping bags! Hoops, art things, ATCs... Probably a ton of things I'd like that I can't think of but would need the minute I see them! And supplies are always good.
