51  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Quilt for Christmas on: January 06, 2011 03:28:05 PM
@Cindy Jo - Ohh so you do like entire strips of the quilt and then just piece it together that way? The whole quilting thing is new to me, I'm actually working on my first one right now. I've been doing a lot of research and this forum is a HUGE help, but some of the jargon and sewing basics just go over my head.

@ MareMare - You know, I think I saw that tutorial somewhere with the interfacing. I'm currently working on one the traditional way. But once I saw that, I thought "well, duh, that would've been a lot easier". Probably a bit more forgiving too. I can't seem to find it now though...

I love these so much. Yours turned out wonderful. You are so brave to do the pixelated images. I want to do one so bad, but I'm still just a beginner and it scares me. Wink

Too cute. Can't wait for more pics!

Oh I LOVE this.

How was the printed fabric to work with? I've been aching to try it, but it makes me nervous for some reason.

That is beautiful and has a lovely story behind it. Smiley It looks like a very complicated and difficult design  - and so professional!

This idea is so cute. I saw that you have done some others - you should post a pic of your entire collection when they're done!

Adorable! I love the little icicles.

Is your daughter's name Dana or Dara? My step-daughter's name is Dara and I don't see that name too often.
