1  Pants from shorts *Edit to show the back of the pants in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: September 22, 2009 08:06:53 AM
My hubby outgrew a pair of old jean shorts but they were in otherwise good condition so I hated to get rid of them. I ended up making a pair of pants for my son. They just have elastic around the waistband and this gets a bit bulky in the back b/c the pockets are back there too. But I think they are really cute b/c they are very wide. He seems to like them too. Sorry there isn't a better detailed picture...this is the only one I could get!

**Here are a couple of pictures of the back to show you what I meant about the pockets. Again...I used Petchy's awesome ten minute pants tutorial as a base for these. Now if I only had an old Jncos patch...

2  My son's favorite stores in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: September 22, 2009 08:03:20 AM
So my son REALLY likes Target and Best Buy. I found this huge box and thought I could make him his own version. It has ended up also being a nice step stool so that he can turn the light on in his room  Grin

3  Itty Bitty pants from napkins in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: September 22, 2009 07:54:40 AM
The Pier One close to me recently went out of business and I picked up some fabric napkins on the cheap. I couldn't decide what to do with them until I thought of making some pants for my daughter. She's 4 months now and they have fit her for about a month now. My only problem is finding shirts that they match! I just guessed on the sizing b/c the only other pants she had were stretchy.

4  Variation of Petchy Dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: July 19, 2009 07:26:34 AM
This is a dress I made using a modified version of this dress http://madebypetchy.blogspot.com/2008/06/free-pattern-baby-dresstunic.html from Made By Petchy. I sized it down for 0-3 months then lengthened it so that I wouldn't need a diaper cover...which I still can't find a good pattern for. It's really nice for Alabama summers because it's such thin material and it's so light.

Comments welcome  Grin

5  Baby legs gone awry in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: January 23, 2008 01:36:42 PM
So, I thought I would make some baby legs for my son...and I don't know where my brain was when I was in Target. I bought just plain old women's socks. I looked and them and though, "My son's legs aren't that big!" well... as you can see, they are! What is crazy is that they seem as tight on his legs as they would on mine! These at least work on his arms though Wink. I'm going to make some more from some tube socks I found the other day. They should work right!!

Check out this huge butt!!

And the incredibly safe bouncy seat used for support. I'm so irresponsible  Cheesy

6  Diaper Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by warpedweaving on: January 23, 2008 01:32:15 PM
I finally got tired of the "L is for Lions" baby blue Walmart diaper bag that I got at a shower. I longed for something that I liked as much as my son. I have been saving my "Tattoo" fabric for something great and this was it!!! I used a pattern...I don't remember what it was and it is buried under tons of other ones now....Hope you like it! I know I do. Funny thing though, my DH won't wear this one on his shoulder but he would wear the goofy blue obviously baby one. He says this one is too much like a purse  Grin

There are no places for bottles or anything because I was just ready to get it finished. But, so far there has been no leakage!

7  Coils Bag in Weaving: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: January 23, 2008 01:16:01 PM
I spun this yarn:

and couldn't think of anything to do with it. Eventually, I had some extra warp on the loom and thought to weave it into a large bag. It ended up being a weird proportion so I made two bags instead. It's a little brighter than I'd wear...but fun to make something other than a scarf or towel Smiley

This picture doesn't show the colors, but you can see how big it is.

8  New Yarns in Spinning: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: July 13, 2007 03:13:36 PM
Okay, so I can never think of color combos to spin together or anything so I thought I would geek out and do some Marvel yarns:
Captain America:

Iron Man:

And here was my first try at coils. It's called Purple Nurple:

9  Tie Onesies in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: July 13, 2007 03:05:29 PM
I totally ganked these from this post - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=174977.0.

Two of the ties are a little long. I think the shorter one is better because Sam can wear pants with it and it looks better. Sorry for all the pictues. He's just so cute  Grin He's not quite 3 months yet. Isn't he a porker?  Wink

Here's the better tie:

Action shots!!

And here's the best:

One more for good measure...sorry if this is too many!!

10  Woven cotton in Weaving: Completed Projects by warpedweaving on: May 31, 2007 06:19:59 AM
Here is a cotton scarf that I wove from some handspun cotton. I really like it. It was tons of fun to spin and weave. It's just plain weave because I wanted to show off the yarn and I thought a simple design would be best. Hope you like it!

And here's a baby picture!! Yea!! My son's name is Sam and he is 6 weeks old today.
