1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: WWP Round 44 Mabon Swap (SU 7-29 to 8-15, SO 9-10) on: September 17, 2013 05:04:05 PM
I'm so glad you liked your package whileitsraining!  I'm sorry I didn't let you know sooner that I got yours.  The baby and I have been sick for a while and I just haven't gotten hardly anything done.  But I did get it and LOVE it!
I got a bunch of jewelry, three cuff bracelets, a necklace, and a hair clip.  And two reusable sandwich bags.  And my favorite piece, a wood burned goddess plaque.

I already put the goddess plaque up on my mantle with my collection of deity statues.

I also really like the wool felted cuff bracelet.  I do a lot of work with wool and I'm so glad you had success with your first try!

I received a gorgeous package today from thegreengriffin! Is there a gallery yet?
Yay! I'm glad you liked it!  I can't wait to see what everyone else is making!

I'm interested too, I've recently been exploring kitchen witchery in particular.

I sent my package out today.  They said it would get there Wednesday.  I hope I did everything right!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Prepping? on: August 16, 2013 03:36:02 PM
I'd be interested.  I just signed up for my first swap, so I have to finish that first.
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: New/Different Language Swap? on: August 16, 2013 03:32:57 PM
You certainly don't have to wait for me, but I just started my first swap, so I think I have to complete it before I can sign up for another.  Does this mean I have to have sent or everyone has received in the swap?

If this hasn't happened yet, I would totally be interested!  I'm trying to raise my daughter bilingual in French and English but also want her to have exposure to as many other languages as possible.

This is my first swap and I'm super excited!
9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: The (new) Etsy critique thread! on: August 23, 2012 10:41:04 AM
one2stitcharoo : your site looks great! you must've put a lot of time into preparing to open since you haven't been open very long.  Your products are adorable too!
There are a few photos where the fabric in the background has a crease, I would try to iron and retake pics or photoshop them out.  For example the porcu-pining first picture.
I LOVE the 'its a magnet' picture with the colored letters.  You should think about doing the fifth picture maybe just with a ruler next to them or something.
Overall your pictures are great but look at the edges of some of them, the fabric background ends in some corners and you can see the table or whatever they were on.  For example the every week is like shark week.  Your items looks great and it even looks good as a thumbnail but be sure to look at the parts of the picture that aren't the focus also.
The mini ones, though they are listed in their own category, when you look at all the items on your page, they don't look any different.  Maybe add mini to the title?
I was wondering how big the magnets inside were.  I don't know how you could tell us that, but that was a question I immediately had.
I also think your last sentence "If you have any questions, feel free to convo me by clicking the blue "Contact" button on the right side of the page." is kind of needless because etsy automatically puts a link to contact you at the end of your listing.  look at them in customer view and you'll see what I mean.
I don't know how much traffic you've been getting but one thing to think about is that google uses the beginning of your description on their results.  You can see it when you edit or list an item.  You might want to just think about reordering your descriptions such as the cow hanging onto the moon, I like quoting the song, but that's not going to get a click from google.
Overall, amazing job, I nitpicked a bit to give you something but I wish my shop looked as good as yours!

I hope this helps and good luck!

I would love some critique on my shop, http://www.etsy.com/shop/thegreengriffin?ref=si_shop
Thanks

10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Photographing Baiscally Flat Item: Lightbox? on: August 23, 2012 09:36:44 AM
So I sell potholders on my etsy site:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/thegreengriffin?section_id=7020932

I am not sure how to get the best pictures of them though.  Should I use a lightbox for basically flat items?  Any other ideas?  I'm worried the photos I have aren't terribly dynamic.

Thanks so much for all your help!
