As lovely and well executed as this is, in all honesty I hit "this rocks" because of the sweet pun.  Wink

Your pieces are awesome, the lucky cat is definitely my favorite.

You have a great eye...you should consider a career in graphic design. You're a natural.

*gasp*

Seriously. THREE MONTHS?!

You are an amazing, talented woman. I think my favorite is the judge, I love how small and intimidated he makes you feel. I'm so impressed that you just freehanded him, he's incredible. All of these are tremendous pieces of art, and the time frame you did them in is ridiculous. The fact that you planned and executed this in three months is inspiring. If you can do that, you can do anything you put your mind to. Congrats on the BFA!

The uncomplicated (NOT boring) lines in the green dress make it my favorite. It looks smokin' hot on you, if I were you I would pimp that dress as much as possible.

This is amazing. If you'd like to settle this "honey, i'm a lousy painter" argument once and for all, sell his next set of these and buy him a flat screen TV. I think a fan would pay a lot for these, they're incredible.

Barring some sort of monkey or stuffed animal related phobia, there is no way on earth this lady's reaction had anything to do with the quality of your gift. It's absolutely lovely, and there's not a single wonky detail, no matter what you say. : )

If I had to guess, I'd say she's probably really hormonal from childbirth and sleep deprived from long nights with her infant. You caught her off guard and she reacted strangely - I would chalk it up to your neighbor having a bad day or being in a weird place mentally. It's sad when someone is dismissive of something you worked hard on. The last time it happened to me, I cried a lot. But just remember that her careless reaction doesn't diminish the kind thing you did for her and her child. Your gift was lovely, as was the thought behind it.

Maybe she'll realize her error and come apologize to you. I hope she does.

That is HILARIOUS. And a neat coincidence, because I said this exact thing last night. : )
