11  Re: Top Gear Top Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by DeSade13 on: January 23, 2011 10:46:40 AM
Sorry for the delay in picture posting - I have the flu ><

I received lots of goodies from Tamalama, and here they are:

A Stig shirt (which I wore already haha), a Stigism ornament, a Stig felt plushie, and my favorite, the assorted Top Gear magnets.

Thanks! I love it all Smiley

Tamalama said she received today but I decided to go ahead and at least post the stenciled bag I made her (another non-Stiggy package). Also made a keychain, but it is not posted here.

13  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 6!!!! in The Swap Gallery by DeSade13 on: November 17, 2010 08:01:39 AM
Camera batteries were low so I had to take iPhone pics. Sorry they are not the best.

Stacy absolutely spoiled me and wrapped everything up so nicely! Pictured here is the 'before' I tore into it with voracity haha. Also in this picture, the ornaments, candy and other little extras (I forgot to individually take pictures of them).

First, a handmade devil cap for those hellishly cold winter days.

Some pin-up charms (<3) that can be used for ornaments or jewelry.

An altered Mad Hatter shirt.

Some holiday socks (I am wearing them now - so warm!).

A beautifully made fascinator (love the colors/types of feathers).

Two sets of handmade panties/pasties (oo la la). Sorry these seem to be the blurriest but they are really awesome.

Vintage horror movie cups (I may not even drink from them - too awesome to mess up!).

And last, my absolute favorite, a handmade tote made from the coolest fabric ever (there was also a matching keychain).

(Also included, silver photo book, m&m's in dish, shoe ornament, snowman ornament, Coal candy - not closely pictured).

All in all, one of my favorite packages. Thank you Stacy!

I'll be sending yours today Cheesy

Luna's beetle ring!

Luna's radish earrings!

Luna's cork necklace!

Luna's spectrespecs!

Then, the accessories/extras!

The Elder wand! Even lights up at the end. (Not pictured, a note from Harry Potter!)

A copy of 'Advanced Potion Making,' belonging to the half-blood prince! (Not pictured, a note from my love, Mr. Severus Snape!)

A lovely pen and ink drawing of a thestral (my favorite creature!) May frame it Smiley

Thank you Sirael! It is all so wonderful and I hope we can swap again sometime!

15  Katy Perry Candy Button Dress/Shoes in Halloween Costumes by DeSade13 on: October 26, 2010 08:18:08 PM
Based my costume on the candy button dress/shoes from Katy Perry's 'California Girls' video.

Originals:

My costume:

Majority of the dress was made by my friend Soreyda, I only added some of the finishing touches with the 'buttons' and straps.

Not a great picture, but these I did myself from a cheap pair of Goodwill shoes and actual candy buttons.

Another crappy picture with distorted colors. Sucker and wig shown here too. Dress is folded.

16  Re: Music that changed my life swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by DeSade13 on: October 13, 2010 05:25:25 PM
My 'Beatles/John Lennon' package from RantyHippie.

An 'Imagine' wall hanging. Love the colors Smiley

'All You Need Is Love' framed cross-stitch and 'Let It Be' bookmark.

'Imagine' embroidered hat with peace sign.

NOT PICTURED: A lovely multicolor bead bracelet. I wore it out and left it in my car (and I don't want to go out in the rain to retrieve it right now).

Thanks Rantyhippie! I hope you like your package Smiley

After a little trial and error, I completed my edible item today, and I must say I had a 'bloody' good time doing so Wink

18  Re: Halloween Swap 2010 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by DeSade13 on: September 17, 2010 07:31:27 PM
I received! Here are the contents of the lovely package sent by StacySews:

A beautifully made (love the fabric/colors) candy cauldron (which has been claimed as a bed by my cat, evidently). Oh well, we don't get many trick-or-treaters in my area anyway Tongue

A multi-purpose zipper bag made of the same fabric. Think I am going to use it as a travel case for make-up and whatnot Smiley

A voodoo doll (sorry he/she is sideways). Flaky swappers beware muahaha!

A skeleton apron with rhinestone appliques over the heart (lol I made the same thing for her).

Little store bought extras: Squishy skull, super cute stripy socks, and a glass jar with candies inside.

And last, my personal favorite, a zombie pin-up shirt (note the  guide on how to properly prepare brains).

All in all, I love it! Can't wait to finish hers up and send Smiley

The Order of the Eastern Star is a international humanitarian organization composed of women who are wives of advanced Masons. They use an inverted pentacle as their symbol. Essentially all Eastern Star members in North America are Christians.

I guess some other Christian groups used to use it too. The Masons are kind of mysterious and spooky, right? I know I've ready a few news stories where developers tear down an old Mason lodge and they discovered a skeleton in the walls.

My grandmother was a member of this order. She left me her ring when she passed:

Always thought it was fascinating, myself...

On another note, I RECEIVED! Going to work on taking pictures tonight. It is all so great Smiley

Erm, Stacy. This first teaser is going to be awkward (but awesome at the same time).

Hahahaha! Oops? Just further proof that we were meant to be partners.

There is still a couple more things but no pictures of those yet Wink
