4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / I am MELTING MY BRAIN right now... aaaargh! on: February 22, 2011 08:36:47 AM
AAAAAAArgh! Angry ok shouting over heres my problem. I got this really cool Beetlejuice black and white stripy fabric. Kind of cotton jersey light fabric. and I started making Beetlejuice panties! all was well and the first pair i was quite happy with apart from the frilling that seems to happen when i stitch the outside seams. when I wear them its all good the frilling doesn't matter- it sits nice and flat and I am happy. But it annoys me so much seeing them next to my store bought good seam panties. I mean it cant be that hard to make right? So this time I was like RIGHT. NO FRILLING PLEASE! really carefully cut little triangles out to keep a nice flat shape on corners pressed it all it all looked perfect. but NO. I still have FRILLS! aaaargh why? why? whyyyyyyy? i got knicker elastic now too but am in fear that that will go all wonky too!
what am I doing wrong? is it the fabric? (my machine does sort of pull it about a bit)
is it my seams are too small?
or am I just dooomed to never make super cool Beetlejuice panties?  Embarrassed
please help me!  Huh
