1691  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Sunday Dress on: February 01, 2012 10:24:37 AM
Yes, it's "flat piping" - just some bias-cut fabric folded in half, as recommended by the pattern...  Cheesy

Ooo, fun! I have to tuck that idea away now. Thanks!
1692  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Board Games!: The Gallery on: January 31, 2012 04:57:30 PM
Yay! Everything made it nice and safe.

That was the last package to be received and everyone should have feedback now which means this swap is officially done.

I for one would love to see pics of the other packages  Smiley Please post pics so we can all swoon over game goodness.

Thanks for a great swap, ladies!

It looks very cute! Is that piping between the skirt panels? Either way it is adorable.

Amazing! I adore the whole things, but particularly the choice of papers. Absolutely fantastic all the way around.

Thanks guys!

I did think about sharpies, but when I tested them out the tip was too big for me to get some smaller details clearly drawn.

BTW except for Toph's earmuff-things I used brush tipped fabric markers. You can blend the colors a bit (like on Little Foot on the Land before Time one) just let the 1st color dry in before adding the next or it'll get too wet and bleed. Run an iron (no steam) over it to speed up the process. For the earmuff-y things I used a white fabric paint pen.
1700  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My Epic 3 Year Blanket on: January 28, 2012 08:31:28 AM
It is very pretty. I have no patience for crochet or knitting but I admire yarnies a ton. I can tell you this would have taken me a lot longer than 3 years. Great job!
