1501  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Board Games!: The Gallery on: January 11, 2012 05:39:13 PM
I received from ivoryh1632! I love what she sent but I am sorry to report that I think our mail people DO talk with each other  Cry

Bad news first:

There were lots of shards inside but I could tell what they were from ivory's letter: prizes for winners and 2 runner-ups! Very cool for my highly competitive family. It would have been amazing for the amazing...
(Cue good news)

Vintage game of Pit! It's a card game but is so awesome it tops most board games in my book.

And guess what?

A Pit messenger bag! She left the images vintagey looking, which is completely my style. I love the red accent too. What technique did you use to get the images on there? It's seriously... hmm, what synonym for awesome haven't I used... marvelous!

And last but not least in any sense of the word:

Chess quote greeting cards! Each have a chess/game quote and a chess piece picture inside. And check out the envelopes:

Sweet! Where did you get these? Or did you make them? They- and the cards -are super!

Thank you so much for everything, ivory! I'm sorry one of my mail men destroyed your hard work, but what survived is perfectly fantastic. Thanks again!
1502  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Never-Nude & Passion - two little hoops! on: January 11, 2012 04:21:39 PM
Ha ha! AD hoopla! Nice detail on the shorts. Pockets, button, fly, fraying, belt loops...Wow!
1503  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Board Games!: The Gallery on: January 11, 2012 04:10:55 PM
I'm glad you're happy with your package! Your mail lady and my mail men should chat sometime  Roll Eyes

I got the tissue box holder at Jo-anns. Maybe it's a regional thing because I've never seen rectangular ones!

Heh, heh, yeah the breezeway. I was feeling kinda bad about it then got to thinking about Rizzo the Rat's cruise line in Muppet Treasure Island ("We put the rat in pirate!") and that settled that.

Oh, and sorry about the tie job. I rolled up the board and kept rolling the strings after for a couple of times then slipped the tail under and tied the bag on.

Now to wait patiently some more for my mail...

1504  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Last set of pictures-three larger boxes. on: January 11, 2012 01:31:26 PM
Ooo, the tree is a very nice detail. Pinning that one too  Smiley
1505  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: More boxes! on: January 11, 2012 12:44:07 PM
Cool! The compass ones are amazing, must add them to my pinterest. They're all really nice, actually. I'm going to go hunt down your other posts.
1506  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: OTT Anime/Manga swap (sign-ups Dec 27th -Jan 17th, SO Feb 15th) on: January 11, 2012 09:39:18 AM
There is still something that has not been cleared up. Is this in fact a One Tiny Thing swap, meaning ONE small item, or not? The point-type swap info is still in the first post and it can't be both! If it is for OTT then I can do it, but if it's for more than one item I will have to pass. I just joined the gym so my nights during the week are taken up.

Sorry for the confusion, but the item should be no bigger than 5x5x5 .  I will fix that so there's no more confusion Smiley

The size guide is in the 1st post, I believe, to give an idea of how much time/effort goes into items since it still takes work for a 5x5x5inch something  Smiley . Correct me if I'm on the wrong track, Tygermane.

I'm still reviewing my questionnaire. I'll send it in the next few days.
1507  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: A few new purses on: January 11, 2012 09:11:25 AM
The white/black and/or red ones are my favorites. Nice work!
1508  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Girly-tastic stationary set on: January 11, 2012 08:45:49 AM
Those are indeed cute! I've pinned them. I agree with Correlating: tie 'em with a ribbon. Or you could find/make a box. I'm sure there are other ideas out there. They really do look sweet and well done.
1509  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Junk in the Flamingo Trunk - tutorial included! [picture heavy] on: January 10, 2012 07:46:43 PM
I click because I saw flamingos (seriously, that would have been well worth the click. looks so cool) but now I'm wowed by your awesome tutorial as well! Thanks!

Sweet! I love the fabric you used. They look so cute pretending to be food in the tin and display stand.
