Fun! You sure put a lot of effort into this. Nice touch, adding the boning in the front. It looks nice!

Oh my gosh, I want that pig!

Nice towels and scarf! Question about the towels: Does the fabric trim interfere with use? Like, does it bunch up when you use it to wipe your hands?

Prompt: big time

Project Name: tamales
Project Link:
Brief Description: If you couldn't tell from my username, I'm proud that I'm part Mexican. While a little of the culture remains in my family, a lot of it has been lost over the subsequent generations since my great-grandparents came here, especially since my dad isn't much of a talker. However, he is known to let some things out when offered Mexican food. One of my co-workers supplied me with her recipe for chicken tamales using store-bought rotisserie chicken. Sounded like a good way to get started making tamales! Things happened, however, and, while not an utter failure, they didn't truly turn out. And I'm not talking about the fact that I used corn husks instead of banana leaves. Neither my co-worker nor I care enough to scour the area for a possible pack of banana leaves. The dough was the culprit. They are good, though! Here's one of 3 batches freshly steamed:

So many wonderful crafts! I've been enjoying them, but not commenting as I'd like to.

Research Project Name: costume
Team: Randomizer
Brief Description: I'm considering going for a year 6 costume. Specifics to be determined. Between that and planning, it'll definitely qualify as a research project.

Thanks, LM!

What adorable mice, roler! Ha, I though the cookies were also part of the swap when I saw Mrs. Frisbie (and the Rats of NIHM!) Those old recipes can be bland. They look delicious now, though! Yay, frosting (and round, multicolored sprinkles)!

Prompt: December show tunes
Team: Randomizer
Bonus Points:
Project Name: pumpkin pie
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Pumpkin pie for NYE! So, when I first glanced at the prompt, I thought it meant show tunes as in tunes that happened to be on a show. I made the pie with some help from condensed milk, which you must shake before opening. Farris Bueller's Day Off features the Beatle's "Twist and Shout" which opens with, "Well, shake it up."

Your dolls are awesome, nerdsplusneedle!

Bunny, the bag is fabulous! Also, you made Big Hunk candy?! Could you please point me in the direction of a recipe and share any tips? I know someone who'd love it.

That's too bad that Best of Craftster is no more! I think it'd be very cool if we did something like it.

I like the idea of video game projects, TV projects and such. Very nerdy! Perhaps we could also do something like broad board categories, like best-looking food, clothing, knickknacks, and so on, since the general rule is that projects we turn in have to fit somehow with them. I also like nerdplusneedle's ideas for naming. Perhaps have both nerdy video games/TV/books and cool-ly named broad board category awards?

If you need it, I can help with this in some way. I'm on a bit of a break from school-school- if not work-school -through most of January.
