Ah Melissa :-) David Tennant's doctor is take-him-home-and-cover-him-in-chocolate yummy :-) thanks for checking out my blog etc, I'm qute a well rounded geek, Dr Who, Star wars/trek, battlestar galactica, the only thing I dont like is Blake's 7 *shudder* but yes, TNG is the one I grew up watching, I always wanted to grow up to be Deanna Troi :-)

yea you're right, 1 isn't much, I'm just so used to getting things for 20p at carboots :-) especially things that are more or less useless to 'normal' people (like a single curtain) the brown fabric does have an awesome pattern to it, it didnt have a tag but it is very heavy, definitly couroy-ish

THANKYOU!! :-)

the weeping angels are one of the best Dr Who villans EVER, and I completely agree with all the pro-moffat sentiment, Russell T Davis kept shoehorning gay/romantic plotlines where they weren't required... Steven Moffat's plots are much more complex/fun/eerie :-)

I've just posted this over in the bags/purses but I think you guys might be interested in it too :-)

I'm such a geek!

so... all warmed up for the Dr Who Swap!!

ALL the fabric used here is upcycled, the white floral stuff was a duvet cover I got for free from a carboot sale and the funky 70's brown stuff also came from a carboot sale, and it's a curtain :-) I'm MAD paying 1 for a single curtain but I loved the pattern... I thought I might make a skirt out of it but there wasn't really enough.... also I thin that the whole 70's theme goes with the subject matter :-)

I like it, it's geeky and girly and upcycled... and a handbag!!! my 4 favourite things!!!

I know, I know, get on with the pictures!

It's a modifiaction on very purple person's reversible bag pattern and there's a video on my blog detailing how to add the pocket etc... I've also uploaded my TARDIS and K-9 applique templates on my blog which you're welcome to have...

my bad x2
- first time so didnt know everything about feedback (when it didnt appear, I just thought maybe it didn't 'show up' til after signups had closed.)
- actually typo'd my OWN NAME!!! when  I signed up to craftster... and sont seem to be able to change it... ***GRR*** this is prolly gonna cause lots of hassle ....

anyhow, suffice to say, prolly everyone else's feedback is fine, just me and my stupid typing.

I made this cute little shoulder bag out of a turtleneck jumper!! The lining is a pillowcase, and guess how much I paid for them?? NOTHING!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I picked up both free from a car-boot seller who wanted to go home, the jumper was ruined because someone had tumble dried it, it was supposed to be size 10 but looked like it would only fit a 3 year old.

less talk, more pictures!!

400  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hand Embroidered Patch on: October 26, 2010 03:03:26 PM
So this is my first foray into embroidery, it's really basic, just backstitch on muslin... I didn't really know what to do with it so I made it into a patch for my jeans...

geek much?! :-)
