98  Scotch Tins in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by spidermom on: July 31, 2010 11:56:55 AM
My dad makes and repairs guitars for a living, and often has customers that like to tip him with things like bottles of fancy scotch.  Mom hates having to find a place to recycle them...I said i'll take them and figure something out!  Here's the before:

Original idea was to decorate them, drill a hole in the lid and use them to thread yarn through while knitting/crocheting...FAIL on the hole drilling idea but still nifty for storing smaller balls of yarn and scraps!  This one was super easy, 12 x 12 scrapbook sheet fit almost perfectly, just had to shave a teeny bit off the edge.

Orange one was made for my sister, the Craftster rock star lanikins.  I found a Family Circle magazine from 1978 that had these awful crochet patterns and just had to share the weirdness.  So funny to me because it is completely not like lanikins, she is very "hot pink and skulls"...definitely not lime green and orange.  She thought it was hilarious though Smiley

99  Buggy Box in Completed Projects by spidermom on: July 15, 2010 08:28:38 AM
This project was one of those unplanned kind of things...started out with an idea that failed!  I'll just call it a happy accident because i love it!  (hubby says it creeps him out though  Tongue)  i've only uploaded pics of the top and front so it won't be completely loaded...thanks for looking!

100  This Little Piggy in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by spidermom on: July 06, 2010 09:50:17 AM
I made this for my dear friend from out of state who collects pig items...but had such a hard time giving her up!  (my babygirl also tried to claim her repeatedly while i was working on her)  I got the pattern initially from redheart.com, but made some little changes here and there and am so happy with how she came out.
