1  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 8--GALLERY!--Mail by 11/14/11 in The Swap Gallery by AlmostDawn on: November 30, 2011 12:36:39 PM
I want to apologize for being so quiet lately. I have run myself ragged and gotten some sort of plague. Seriously.
This is the first day I've felt like getting out of bed to get my laptop.

I'm slowly working through PMs and updating statuses. I'll also be giving out feedback for pairs that have completed.

So I am sorry that I'm a little slow. If you absolutely need feedback right this minute for other swaps please feel free to send me a PM with "Urgent" in the title. I'll go through those first and get feedback assigned.

Secondly.....

I got a box last week. The mailman tried to hide it from me. And I found the package notice slip tumbling across the yard as I was heading out to travel for Thanksgiving. So I chased it and gave it to the awesome man of the house who got it for me on Friday since he headed home earlier than I did.

Then I got sick on the way back.

But...I've been digging through this SUPER AWESOME BOX OF LOVE. (seriously..caps required)
BirdBones is the super spoilingest.

prepare for picture overload:

First of all look at the pretty box it was shipped in!

ZOMG Candy!!!

(The few times I have gotten up to get juice or something I've found those blue/white wrappers on the coffee table. So I brought the rest in the bedroom where the man is afraid to go right now. Muahaha)

These are just *some* of the extras:

It's all greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen. And I love it.

Moar candy!

A cute note!

The other side of the note has a description of my stuffie:

Metamorph Moogy    Pluralis Hortensis Salentia, Moogy 1712
The Metamorph moogy, being named after their discoverer, Doogy Moogy (1680-1751), are a frog-subspecies that undergo constant change in appearance over the course of their lives. They start out as a sort of butterfly, where their one eye creates a unique appearance. They transform into flowery dragonworms in their adolescence, where their hypnotic personality is easiest to observe. The grown MM has no visible appendages and it is strongly suspected of moving via telekinesis.

Though generally friendly, the MM is highly suspicious of its surrounding and can be found hypnotizing everything and everyone, thus forcing its observers to forget parts of the encounter. Because of this, little is known about habits and diet, although a number of scientists have hinted that the MM is fondest of the company of garden gnomes.

Please give these MM a good home where they can practice their various hobbies, which include........gee, I must have forgotten.......

The baby was in the picture above with the candy.  Grin

Next the adolescent which is my stuffie!

And the back. Look at it's tail!!

Lastly, the adult:

....it's a bag!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Soooooooooooo happy! As soon as I start going back to work again this is totally my new bag.
One more picture.
The back:

You can see the extra pocket! And the strap which has the ridges on it like the tail of the stuffie!

Ohhhh BB.
I loves it.
So so soso much.
I'm the most spoiled girl ever.
Ever. Ever.
<3

I could go on forever and ever about how amazing this all is.
But it's time for yet more juice and a nap  Wink

2  Re: 2011 r3 mini 13 days of Halloween Gallery in The Swap Gallery by AlmostDawn on: September 21, 2011 03:52:45 PM
My spot. Right. Here.

Oh man. I was out this weekend with a nasty migraine, but I'm back now with some awesome goodies.

Super awesome goodies from Lrigrem:

Everything out of the box:

Day 13: The cutest bag ever! And it was filled with candy. Nom nom nom.

Day 12: Super cute stickers and cards!

Day 11: Brainzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Day 9: Chocolate!
ZOMG. There's a mustache. Even better than a finger mustache disguise 'cause I can eats it!

Day8: Moar Candy! And pumpkins. And a candle.

Dude...that candle smells soooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
Admittedly, there was more candy than in the picture. There's a terrible candy monster rampaging the neighborhood.

And there's Day 7 in the background.
Taunting me.
Cause UPS brought my 2nd box.

And i'm going in super early. Then I have errands.
*then* I can open it.

I'm gonna go stick my face in that candle again.

Day 7: Moar Brainzzz. In a jar!
And Candy Poppers.

The thing wrapped in pretty ribbon was a reese's but that pesky candy monster rans away with it again.

Day 6: Spoooooooooooky Tree.
I was so excited to open this one 'cause it was a funny wrapped shape.
It's my very own spooky tree.
(With Brainzzz in jar..look how they've grown!)

Day 5: Toys for Oz!
Oz has been alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll over the second box of stuff to come in. It's been hard to take pics without him rubbing his face on everything (which is why Day 6 is so blurry).
I've found the reason why!
There was a day just for him!!
I barely got it open before he ran off with everything included.
I've never seen him try and carry three toys at once before.
Here's the pic I managed to get after following him?

What you can't see is that his big butt is on the bat that was made for him.
Thank you SO much!

Day Four:
Candy Corn!
Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom

Day Three:
A green nomnom monster!
Oz also believed this was a present for him and has run off with it. No joke.
I went into the office to get my camera and came back and there's no monster.
He's stashed it.
Prolly in his "fort" which is the general name for the secret place he's found in the new house to hide things.
Jerky cat.

Day Two:
O.......M........G...
*dies*

LOVE IT. It's already on my art wall.
And that's a Poe story in the background I think.
Which is PERFECT.
*muppet flail*

Day One:
*insert even more muppet flail here*
Excuse the weird light in this picture. I took it in my bathroom because we're having crazy storms here but I couldn't wait to take a pic and show y'all.

It's a sprocket pillow!
With a candy corn button center!
It lives in the bed.
I don't care what anyone else says.
It lives in the bed. ALWAYS.

Lrigrem you are the most super awesomest partner ever.
Thank you thank you thank you times one billion!

I'm sad it's all over.
But I LOVE what I have. (And Oz does too...I hope I find my poor nomnom monster)

4  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Rnd 6 Gallery!! (Send 9/12/11) in The Swap Gallery by AlmostDawn on: September 07, 2011 05:13:39 PM
Oh man y'all.
My hoop got here from silentblair and I just about *died*
I was so excited that I ran across the freshly cleaned tile floor to grab my package and I slid and fell on my butt!

SOOOOO WORTH IT!

I started out gaming on an NES (getting kicked off of it by my mom that wanted to play Final Fantasy). The controller looks like a steampunk controller which I love so much.

And the *BACK*. I don't think I've ever been as excited about the back of a hoop as I am about this one. I want to turn the hoop around on my wall sometimes so the back shows.

Heheheheheheheheheheheheh! It gives me gigglefits every time!
SilentBlair asked about eluding to "something flilthy"
I'm a pretty saucy wench. And this is *FABULOUS* and naughty!!

I looooooooooooooooooooooves it.
I really can't wait for the husband to get home from work so I can show him. I think this is a hoop he'll love.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

7  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 6 Gallery O' Goodness in The Swap Gallery by AlmostDawn on: July 15, 2011 08:23:12 PM
What a tiny little octopus! And he's a zombie! That is insanely cute.

Oh.My.Stars and Garters. Guys....My stuffie arrived from SpookyPooky's place today.

I was slightly concerned when the box was rustling and rumbling in my bag on my way up the stairs to my apartment. As I put my groceries away I set my tote bag on the bed...
Not even five minutes later I went back into the bed room only to find that something had already burst out of the box!

A quick look around found my new pal on my bookshelf tugging at a book. I promised to help if once I got the book he posed for a picture..

The second this picture was taken, Mr. Cthulhu threw the book open to see if he was mentioned. (The book is Stories edited by Neil Gaiman which I just picked up this week.)

I've let him read next to me as I type this, listening to his faint grumbles.

In my questionnaire I put that I liked "cryptids, sea creatures/monsters, anything a little unusual, steampunk, or Neil Gaiman inspired."
He is all of these things wrapped up into this perfect little package! He even wears his lil top hat on the same side of his head as I do. He comes with his very own autobiography (transcribed by Neil). As well as a fortune telling fish and a key shaped keychain.

I love him. I can't even describe how absolutely amazing he is. I've asked him to tell me a story but he says he wants to finish reading first. Clearly a stuffie after my own heart.  Wink

Thank you SpookyPooky for this amazing Cthulhu that is everything I asked for and so very much more. I am in awe of him and you for creating him. <3

(I had to chase him around the house for 5 minutes..but I got it back  Wink )

Handmade pokeball buttons:

A serious boost to my button stash (the ones at the top are my favorite):

And my favorite things ever...a major addition to my Hoopla wall. *Three* hoops!

Seriously...that's a pokeball made out of buttons! Why didn't I ever think of that?!  Shocked

I loves it Xandri! So much! Thank you for an absolutely awesome box.

I have terrible anxiety about what I sent to krismith now.
