Okay, I've been making jewellery on and off for the past 5 or so years, and while many of my creations have been gifted, I still have a heck of a lot of stuff I've made for myself. And I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, so when I decided to make my mom a bracelet as part of her Christmas gift, using a stitch I've never done before, I planned ahead and took pictures:
Originally, I was going to make this silver with blue, but then I thought, "Nah, she has lots of silver stuff. I bet she doesn't have a lot of blue stuff, though."
It's basically a herringbone stitch with a ladder stitch holding the rows together and then a brick stich at the end. The pattern link is saved somewhere on my computer...
*Five minutes later* AHA!
The only difference between her pattern and my mom's bracelet is that I didn't have any size 15.0 beads at the time and just used 11/0 all the way through. And it's gorgeous, and Mom loves it, so it's all good.
And I loved the stitch so much, that I decided to experiment with a ring
It doesn't photograph that well, but I like it and that's all that matters!
