21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Dr. Who Scarf on: June 14, 2010 10:23:34 AM
Oh my god, LOVE

Ok, so when I was still living in Indiana, I started a season 15 scarf, but then some life choices I made brought me to Florida, and now I have no use for my scarf.  I left it with a friend back up in the cold, but I doubt she'll finish it.

I think I might have to make one anyway and wear it around in the 90+degree Florida heat, ya know, to freak out the normals.

::edit::  also, i just rocked this.
22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: I Crocheted My Steering Wheel! on: June 13, 2010 12:26:51 PM
I want to start one the minute I get home from work!

What kind of yarn did you use?  What size hook?

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Striped tam hat :] *Now with Pattern! on: June 07, 2010 11:11:36 AM
so, i made one using your pattern, except i cut out five rows, used seed stitch, and didn't stripe. i'm kinda wishing i'd left those five rows in, though. :[ other than that, i love it so so so much! and i'll probably be using this pattern EXACTLY for my next one, as i'm making it for a friend's birthday, and i want it to be super nice. any suggestions as to what color to use with hot pink? not black.

btw, your pattern was very easy to follow. :] and i loved your end result, as well as mine.

I'd use green or purple.
26  Florida / Florida: Central / New to Brevard on: June 07, 2010 07:14:01 AM
Hey guys!

I'm kind of new to Brevard Co.  (I've been here pretty solidly since about mid-February, the boy and I just started renting a house in Melbourne a month ago) and I haven't gotten out in the city to see if there are any good lys'.  Does downtown have any good crafty things, or am I forever doomed to Joann's?  No offense, Joann's, but I'm a small business lover.

Let me know!  I've been anxious to get some new yarn and start hearing the click clack of my needles again.

Thanks!
