I also received from darkladymajesta:

A stamp carving kit, plus some fun coloring/art stuff:

(ignore my messy work desk/thousand year old stapler in the background)

A close up of a cute batch of readymade stamps for my stamping pleasure:

(Sorry for the cruddy phone camera!)

Thanks a lot; I'm going to have fun playing around!

OK! PICTURES! (Please excuse how bad my phone camera's pictures are! I seem to have misplaced my camera. >=/)

My package from radiationbaby!

First...stickers! They are adorable and at least one is going on my bicycle. =| No one can stop me.

(Bonus: IT COMES WITH TWO SHEETS OF GOOGLY EYED FISH)

Then, the amazing, the spectacular...watercolors of Flight of the Conchords! And she picked my favorite song. =| Word up, homedoghiphoprhymer.

And finally, a wonderfully smooshy scarf. It's so soft, I can't stop rubbing it on my face. I wore it yesterday, and it's super warm! Love it!

Thank you so much, and thanks for being such a great partner. You are AWESOME and AMAZING. =| For seriously.

And thanks to Ilianora for organizing! Smiley This was great! I had a lot of fun -- plus, I was a total nutcase for most of November, and it was nice having something to look forward to.

So thank you!

Just got my BEAUTIFUL package from hgddm!!!!!

She sent me such a great package, with an eye mask, a clutch, a ring(!), a headband and a hanging embroidery!
Picture of everything:

and a close up of my favorite item, the eyemask:

I work a weird schedule, and NEEDED this eye mask. She put lavender inside so it smells nice too! LOVE IT!

Thanks so much for everything. I used the eye mask already last night. :X I'll use the clutch today, yeah!!

I already received and posted about my bookmark from Cassie, and I'm here to post up my other four! Sorry it took my lazybones self so long to post these!

I've officially received from everyone in my group, and just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone. This was a great experience, and I've learned at least two very valuable, future swap lessons from it. (One of them my group already knows *cough*, and the other: if you have the stuff done, send it early in case something goes...wrong.)

Here's my most recent haul from the rest of my group:

Individually:
From crystallized_art, some lovely corner bookmarks...

From gossamer_gull, a trio of pretty collage and stamp bookmarks...(I can't help it, this is going to make me sound dumb but...I LOVE the shininess)...

From DarthSqurl, a beaded thread book thong...

and From Rainbowsaurus, a great WOODEN bookmark! Awesome!

Thanks again guys; my first swap experience was great. Now I'm eager to participate in more! <3

She made a really cute little tunnel bookmark with all of my favorite quotes inside. Smiley Here are some pictures:

Thank you again!

6  Marbled Paper (Lots of pictures!) UPDATED 7/20/2010 in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by kittenmittens on: July 15, 2010 10:02:16 PM
Update:
Here are some more! Smiley

I have some slightly larger copies on my blog here: http://thelibrarymender.wordpress.com/2010/07/20/even-more-marbling/, if you wanted to see some of the details. The fifth one is kind of  :/ just because in person, it's sparkly and gold but on the computer it just looks sort of white. Oh well! Smiley I'm having a good time!

Original post:
Hi guys,

I've spent a while trying to get good enough pictures of these to use in my first "completed items" post and just realized that these things called scanners exist  Roll Eyes Whoops. Anyway, I've recently been getting into marbling and have so far marbled a boatload of papers. I still haven't tried any cloth or non-paper objects, but I plan to try it!

Heeere are a few:

And here are two goofs:

On this one, I didn't notice that most of my paint had sunk below the size and put down the paper and got...just the black. Haha, mistake! But I think it looks interesting, so I figured I would keep it.

And this was actually my favorite print of the batch, so the middle smear was such a bummer for me. There was a lump in the size that hadn't mixed properly, and so all of the paint just sort of sliiiid off to the side and didn't stick to the paper correctly. Arrrgh! I was hoping to use it in my bookbinding, but unless I make a really little book, I won't be able to use it. I can still cut it up to use elsewhere, so it's ok. Tongue I guess I'll just have to try a similar color combination in the future.

I hope you guys enjoyed! I'm doing my best to de-lurk and start posting, and get over general new-poster-nerves. See you around!
