Looking through the jewelry tutorials, I saw this one pertaining to the old favorite, rolled paper beads: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304591.0
. It put me in the mood to make some jewelry. I have made plenty of rolled beads in the past using wrapping paper, maps, newsletters, etc. This time I decided to try something different. For a long time now I have been making loads of crafts with junk normal people would throw away. Here are a couple of my latest projects:
Necklace made of rolled beads with seed beads for spacers

Bracelet made of rolled beads with seed bead spacers, strung on elastic which was part of the packaging from a cheap pair of shoes

I am pretty happy with the way my trashy beads turned out. Can you guess what they are made of?
Used Color Catchers! I have been saving these things for years, and finally have an appealing use for them. I use them all the time in my laundry, and usually they come out an unappealing grayish color, but sometimes they end up being a very appealing shade which I can't bear to toss. Consequently I have dozens of them still hanging around. What do you think of my trashy beads?
