3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little boy beige and brown vintage inspired outfit on: June 12, 2010 09:33:44 PM
Child's outfit reminiscent of the 1800's
We made this for my son, he has worn it both with tights in the winter, and now that it has warmed up, on its own with sandals.
I absolutely love all of the children clothing from the 1800's so being able to replicate and dress my boy in this outfit has been very exciting for me
This is the type of outfit we are planning to create for our future childrens wear line called Le Coria Bebe
Thank you for looking!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sweet Peach kitty slippers/mary-janes for little girl (vintage pattern) on: June 01, 2010 11:55:19 PM
These little darlings were quick to knit up, with only one seam to sew up. I finished them in about 3 hours. What took the longest was actually sitting myself down to embroider the whiskers and eyes.
I usually knit things up quite quickly, but the finishing details are what I procrastinate on.
In the past I used to get my mom to sew up all my projects for me, until i decided one day that I had to finish something on my very own...
The pattern is from the book Vintage baby knits by Kristen Rengren

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knit Short and sweater set with kitty cat motif for little boy (Vintage pattern) on: June 01, 2010 11:46:32 PM
I bought the book Vintage baby knits by Kristen Rengren precisely for this pattern.
I finally made it, and I am very happy with the result. I used a cotton yarn, it was a little thicker than the yarn it called for, but I just went down a size in the needles and Voila.... it was perfect.
Well, i also modified just a little bit by adding a few stitches, because the pattern is for an 18-24 month old, and i wanted it a little bigger, since we all know how quickly babies grow out of their clothes....
The sweater fits him, i just roll up the sleeves once, but the shorts are still quite big. I think it will be perfect for the fall
