Thanks!  It really wasn't hard at all.  The base is a candlestick, so there was a just right sized depression for them to sit in while the glue dried.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Bryan Cohen, and i am here representing the company i work for, Barrier Free Living.
We are a Non-Profit org, working with domestic violence and Homeless people with disabilities.
This is labeled a NYC shetler for people with disabilities, but we remain Nonprofit.
The client are in desperate need of some art and craft supplies for our Occupational Therapy Deptarment.
The Clients have a really minimal selection of things to do, and we would like to help them with as many physical creative functions they might have left.
We have tried to order them through many places, but as time went on the supplies became more and more depleted.

You can reach me at my Email bryanscohen@gmail.com
For more information on our programs and what we are about, you can go to...

Ask for Patricia Motus.

Thank You Again!
Bryan Cohen!

Thanks you guys!  I realize it's probably not for everyone but was a lot of fun to do!

My partner for the Sideshow Swap, coocoosnest noted that she likes conjoined, creepy and disturbing things.  My kinda gal!  After much research and consideration, I figured she would enjoy a two headed fetal pig in a jar.  I mean, who wouldn't?   Cheesy

The banner is printed on cloth, and strung between poles made from candlesticks and chopsticks.  The base is the top of a cigar box.

The pig is made from polymer clay, suspended in a pimento jar (I do love to make pimento cheese).  I was able to find lots of reference photos for the specimen online.

The only thing I didn't have in my stash was the light, which I picked up at Michaels in the floral department.

2458  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Side Show Swap Gallery on: August 01, 2013 02:25:27 PM
Yep.  It's a two headed fetal pig with the tongues hanging out.  Luckily, coocoosnest doesn't mind something a tiny bit 'dark'.   Cheesy  I seriously had so much fun (and a little anxiety) with this swap.  I'm glad it arrived in one piece!

Good luck with your surgery, artista83!  I grew up in Florida and loved the sideshow banners and barker.  They had it at the fair every year, it was the most exciting part of the midway.  My parents never let me go in when I was young but I did when I got older.  I remember lots of stuff in jars, the fat lady, bearded lady, the half man half woman.  It was really dark inside.
