Here's my first attempt at sewing in decades. I needed a convenient way to carry dog treats and poop bags. Thanks for the inspiration! I copped out and used ribbons, instead of the clasp.

So cute! I hope your boss doesn't read craftster!

Inspirational! Leads me to ask:

Did you draw the outline on the pillow before you began embroidering? Or did you just "eyeball" it from the picture you got off the web. If you drew it on the pillow, how did you go about doing this? I'm not very artistic and am trying to figure out the best way to get the designs I want on to my projects. At this point I've been tracing designs with disappearing ink and then embroidering over it. But most of my stuff isn't as complex as your beautiful bird.

I'm moving to Davenport this summer. Does anyone know of any cool fabric shops in the QC?

Thanks for the info on yarn shops.

I adore this! You rock. Better watch out, or the next time I'm in the midwest I might need to borrow this. Smiley

I made this sweater for my boy Roy from the Gift Knitter book. It can be made large or small and is super easy. And you can jazz it up with funky yarn.

BTW, I love, love, love your red jacket with the flower. It is super sweet. Did you make it out of felt?

How about a Super Dog costume? It shouldn't be too hard to make a wee cape. I'm going to make one for my boy Roy this year.

Great job. How hard was it to create your design? Did you graph it first?

These bags are so addictive.

I made mine into book totes by making them longer.
