11  Weenie wrap from underwear Link to Tutorial in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Crafty_Kat on: June 09, 2010 09:29:18 PM
My dog Ben needed a new weenie wrap and I came up with this idea (last week).

I put a very simple tutorial up on my blog, if you want to see how to make these.  It's very simple; all you need is an old (or new) pair of undies.  They look really cute when you use boys undies.  The tutorial shows plain women's undies turned into the weenie wrap, but any undies can be used.

Here's the link to the free tute on my blog:

12  Dog shirt from bathing suit cover up (pics and tutorial link) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Crafty_Kat on: June 09, 2010 07:22:17 PM
Hi!
I'm so excited; I just started sewing and I'm loving it!

I made this cute dog shirt for Mac, my standard poodle.

This is how the shirt started out:

13  Purse Organizer in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Crafty_Kat on: June 08, 2010 08:33:49 PM
This purse organizer was my first project made on my brand new sewing machine.

I found the free tutorial for the organizer at a cute blog called "The Giving Flower".
http://thegivingflower.de/?page_id=78http://www.thegivingflower.de/patterns/Purse_Organizer_Recipe18_11.pdf

I loved the organizer, but it was too big for my purse, so I made a new purse out of place mats (which I posted here the other day).  Then I decided I needed a wallet, so I tried the clutch wallet.

Here they all are:

Thanks for looking.
Take care,
Kat

14  Re: Gathered Clutch (from Noodleheads) : A return to sewing in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Crafty_Kat on: June 08, 2010 07:40:29 PM
I made one too!  Mine isn't as cute as yours, Amber; I used fabric to match the other things I made this week.
I'll try to attach a pic.
Thanks for introducing me to this project, and for encouraging me to try.
Hugs,
Kat

15  My placemat purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Crafty_Kat on: June 07, 2010 04:09:27 PM
Well, I tried a placemat purse, and I'm really pleased with it!
I followed the tutorials I found here.
I had a hard time putting in a zippered lining but did it. It's  not perfect, but OK for my first try, I think.
I am really having fun with my new sewing machine!
Here are a few pics; I hope you like it.

And here's the purse organizer I made the other day.  It's the first thing I made with my new sewing machine; I love it but it was too big for my purse, so I had to make a new purse, lol.

Take care,
Kat
