1  Re: I <3 Coffee/Tea Swap Round 2 Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by slowfade on: April 29, 2006 09:43:00 PM
ok, i know i'm super lame for not posting these pics earlier but having dial up internet is not the best incentive for me to upload pics...

anyway i recieved an AWESOME angel swap package from oxmonkey and here is a group shot of most of the stuff:

included is:  2 sets of stationary (she embossed one of them herself- totally cool), there is a blue and white striped photo album, some loose leaf chamomile tea -my favorite kind- and i've been wanting to get some loose leaf tea forever!!, also a tea strainer thing to hold my new loose leaf tea, an amazing little red riding hood/big bad wolf teapot, some chamomile smelling candles hooray!!, a mug with my name on it, a pair of teapot magnets, lots of wonderful teacup/pot stickers i lurve stickers Smiley, and lots of edibles which were gone by the time i got around to taking pictures.  (the edibles were almond biscotti<-- i love these, cappuccino flavored cookies, an esspresso chocolate bar, and in the pic there is still the cinnamon altoids for after coffee breath and coffee flavored candies.)  whew.

i realized that missing from this picture is the fantastic keychain which has been in use since i got my package!!
it's probably my most favorite thing out of it all, thus it gets it's own picture to show all it's glory   Grin

let me tell you, i love it ALL.  you were amazing and super terriffic for being my angel!!
love, slowfade

oxmonkey,  i <3 you   Smiley
you really are an angel.

anyway, here's what i had sent to my partner:

i lined a tote bag in this cafe print.  the tote bag was purchased but and it was my first time ever lining a bag!  this is the only pic i still have of it.

next we have a cute tea bag stuffie.  (i made two at first, one for her and one for me, but our dog chewed both up and i was sad so i only ended up remaking one to send to her.  but i think though that i need to make one for myself now)

and the two food items i sent i haven't got pictures for, but i sent her a tin of amarreto cookies and some delish chocolate bars from trader joe's.

3  green dotty wallet (my first wallet!!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by slowfade on: March 19, 2006 03:21:06 PM
This is my first attempt at a wallet.  I've been thinking of making one for about a month now, so today I finally went ahead and tried it.  It holds a little Moleskine paperback notebook.  I'm not really into using a date planner, but I do like making lists and stuff, so this was perfect for me  Wink.  And I made several pockets for cards, because I seem to have a lot.  It took freaking forever to iron the pleats for the card pockets, and the pockets got kind of tilted toward the bottom  Sad  There's also a pocket for bills, I wish I had the patience to put in a zippered pocket for coins...  oh well.
